To buy Huawei HG8145V5, you need to contact TIME CS & provide a valid reason why you need to purchase, as this ONT normally given with the subscribed plan.

What is the problem you are having ? AX3 can work with WA8021v5 in wireless bridge mode.
*
i wan Huawei HG8145V5 or any compatible router cos im now using WA8021V5 as router and need another mesh node or router with more internet ports to setup mesh. tq

Thanks for the feedback.
The Netway socket is empty.
Suspected it was moved by previous owner to the top one, which now I wanted to move it back at the bottom (to align with the power sockets)
My new unit is at Bukit Jalil area.
*
Hi, if you want to relocate it to the Netway position, then you would have to hack the wall & extend the fiber....

Try get some contractor contact from your management office.

you need to call Time support - then ask to speak with technical team 2nd level to help you change it to modem mode.

Did mine last time when I bought my TP Link Router. Their Huawei as router really sucks.

Also remember to ask them to switch off the wifi in that Huawei modem. Mine till not not yet switch off coz of this.. need to call them again to do it.

already did those, i got the TELECOMADMIN access to modify these directly

1) huawei changed mode to BRIDGE
2) huawei disabled wifi
3) tplink changed mode to ROUTER
4) tplink entered xxx@timebb / pppoe password

seems like tplink cannot get connected to timebb.

do i need to change VLAN to 499 too?

can try this guide:

DNS maybe try change to Cloudfare DNS see if it helps? https://1.1.1.1/dns/
Last time my router keep orange light after change DNS then became green.

If still can't best talk to their tech team make sure configured the modem properly. Maybe modem there they didn't set properly to bridge mode.

same, already setup cloudfare dns in tplink too biggrin.gif

the video is for the generic ont unit, not suitable for 2-in-1 unit like HG8145V5.

thanks ya thumbsup.gif

Seems like TIME rerouted the traffic to certain China Unicom IP Range
Example : China Unicom Guangzhou
157.255.70.65
Last time is direct one from TIME - Singtel - China Unicom Guangzhou resulting almost 100-110ms only
Now they reroute and route via TATA SG - TATA JP - TATA US - CU US - CU CN resulting >200ms
user posted image
As you can see from the smokeping result , it resulting a 300-400ms latency and 10% packet loss at the time
user posted image
user posted image
same as China Unicom Shanghai

Certain IP range of China Unicom like China Unicom HeBei still remain same routing via Singtel , although theres some packet loss and ping spike on night but overall the performance is better than routing via TATA US !

anyway to report this problem to TIME CS or directly create a report on MCMC portal?

Hey bro, do you have a workaround yet on this issue?

I'm having this issue particularly when connecting to Oceanic servers i.e. Australia (Gaming to Australia server).

TIME keeps rerouting my connection from MY - SG - Somewhere Taiwan/Hong Kong/Netherlands - then back to Oceanic.

Which by right should be MY - SG - Direct to Oceanic.

I've sent a CHAIN OF EMAILS & TICKETS to TIME CS, but they haven't solved it, I've been chasing since September 2021.

Until now, never being solved, email not replied.

Shit CS. Feel like reporting this to MCMC and changing back to other ISP. Paid so much but having shit routing service.

If anyone here can help me to escalate this issue, please do tell.

I have a plethora of emails, traceroutes and tickets/replies from the game developer I can attach here for reference.

sorted it out, but kinda weird

1) called TIME CS to assist. later TIME called back to verify my info and updated my HG8145V5 directly. CS said they just change the mode to BRIDGE. hmm.gif

2) i login to HG8145V5 to see what were changed. they removed the INTERNET WAN profile entirely, just left VOIP profile there. Meaning, previously i changed ROUTER > BRIDGE mode is useless cuz HG8145V5 still having INTERNET profile? confused.gif

3) try using tplink to login pppoe. still not working. Orange LED for WAN, refuse to connect.

4) finally, did a hardware reset for tplink (factory reset). Quick setup using TIME pppoe credentials. Success! doh.gif puke.gif

Anybody knows when will Time restock their mesh nodes?
Is it comparable to something like Deco M4?

Previously they have asked WINMTR from my PC to the IP address im having trouble routing with which I have provided them.

So now they want something called "reverse traceroute"

Do you/ any TIME internet experts have any idea what it means?

Here's the original email:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

to me

Hi XXXXX,

Thanks for the trace route WinMTR from TIME (My home internet) to Blizzard's oceanic server (IP : 103.4.115.248)

As per update from our upstream partner, please provide the reverse trace route for further investigation to isolate if routing in symmetrically routed.

Thank you.

reverse traceroute meaning destination to source route

previously you provide traceroute to TIME is source to destination route
