Can anyone recommend a good powerline that would work well with the Dlink DIR-850L router? I would want to utilize the up t 500 mbps speed. Can't get my PC to hook up directly to the router.

You mean TP-Link AC2300 ?
Not really in real world... AC2300 mayb able to handle more load...

We have tested signal penetration for DIR-882 in an apartment, locked in a room, it managed to penetrate 2 walls & still recording 3xxMbps only my Note 8.

Thanks.

Nope, only D-Link wording. Yes, tested 5GHz...managed to get highest 476Mbps DL & 493Mbps UL on customer's Asus laptop on 1Gbps line.

No powerline can reach 500Mbps.

Best case I have seen in super good condition is 180Mbps

Hi, is there anyone got details? I have received email upgraded for free to 500Mbps and I feel like going to downgrade to 100Mbps , BUT ... written in Self Care that Contract Renewal 24 months , and for 500Mbps or 1Gbps is N/A. What does it mean? Is my contract reset / start from 0 (ZERO) again? Thanks in advance

Uhh.. My router TP-Link AC1200 reach 140-160mbps only via Cat6 cable (and ~100mbps via 5GHz Wifi), even though I got 500mbps if directly connecting to the modem (PPPoE). Already PM Time Internet via FB yesterday (since they're the one who suggesting to test direct to modem) but until now no reply yet, and no one pickup the call. cry.gif

Any suggestion?

Update: I've tried flashing new firmware build 20180502, still no improvement. hmm.gif

Hi sifus, I have an appointment for installation this coming Fri. Bye bye TMNuts rclxms.gif

May I know what is the optimal download/upload speed that is acceptable for 100mbps package? So that I can take note when TIME technician is performing speedtest after installation.

Also was wondering if the latest batch of TP-Link Archer C1200 router still having any issues as per reported previously such as slow boot, auto reboot once a month etc..?

Please advise.

Previously i state will test powerline to somebody here, sorry forgot who. Here's some result:
Internet speed: 500Mbps
Software: Speedtest (Windows 10 app) using TIME server.
Router: Tplink C1200
Powerline adapter: Aztech 500Mbps model.
Test done from Bedroom:
1. Using 1Gbps USB 3.0 to Gigabit adapter - 115Mbps download, 12x Mbps upload. Latency 6 or 7.
2. Using my laptop built in Wifi N - slow until i don't want to say.
3. Using T9UH USB 3.0 adapter - 300Mbps download, 250 to 300 Mbps upload. Latency 2 to 3.

Test done next to router: (test is running while wife watching kdrama on a htpc connected via wired - can't tell wife to switch off kdrama...sweat.gif)

1. Using T9UH USB 3.0 adapter - 353Mbps Down / 341 Mbps Up. Latency 3. (TIME server)
2. Using T9UH USB 3.0 adapter - 367Mbps Down / 89  Mbps Up. Latency 4. (MacroLynx  server)
3. Using T9UH USB 3.0 adapter - 342Mbps Down / 298 Mbps Up. Latency 5. (DIGI server)
4. Using T9UH USB 3.0 adapter - 357Mbps Down / 383 Mbps Up. Latency 7. (TELEKOM server)

Hope these result is helpful.

My conclusion: Powerline adapter is only good up to 100Mbps internet. If you have > 100Mbps, please use Wifi AC with a good wifi adapter. biggrin.gif

Thank you and appreciate your reply as well as blacktubi's response! You guys saved me some cash. I was really close on getting a power line but like what you guys have mentioned, Wfi>Powerline. Now I just need to find a good USB dongle for wifi thumbup.gif

Hey there, I'm using the same router AC1200 and faced the same problem last time. Wifi 5GHz stuck at ~100Mbps and LAN 5e stuck around ~150Mbps on 500Mbps package.

For me it is because of the NAT Boost is disabled.

Advance > System Tools > System Parameters > NAT > NAT Boost (make sure checkbox is checked)

Once enabled, Wifi 5GHz can go up to ~390Mbps and LAN cat 5e ~500Mbps. Let me know if it works for you, thanks

tried out my new archer c2300. still cant get 500Mbps sad.gif
iphone x - results almost same with C1200 - 270down 370up
imac - slightly better at first but after several tries can reach 500/480

at this point i think its not worth it for me to get a better router as my devices cant reach the speed.... sad.gif

Hi JJ Bro,

If possible, can you please try the speed test against Singapore MyRepublic server with the DIR-882 next times?

I am able to get 940 Mbps speed consistently on MyRepublic when connecting directly to ONU but through router cannot, I am wondering the other routers. hmm.gif
