using Nighthawk XR500 here. Anyone using this model in here?

is this upload/download speed limited by my modem or Time server? XD
Currently getting this speed for my 1Gbps plan.

Is like the ISP clone my mac address or something and put a limit to it.

First when i get the 1gbps is very fast. Speedtest 980mbps. Then i tried DL 80gb of 4k movie to test the speed. Not 5 minutes later it disconnect. Cannot login for maybe half an hour then managed to login. Speedtest all become 500-600mbps ish. Once it hit 600mbps it will auto disconnect.

Weird stuff. Router seems to be ok. Router cpu utilization also very low.

If your MBP is the non-touch bar variant, 500Mbps is the peak speed of the AC1200 WiFi card.

The upload speed is capped at 500Mbps.
The download speed still not satisfied?

Dont buy from them dude. Trust me u dont want to go through weeks of wait. Ordered something from them, it took 2 weeks to reach me. 1 week just for it to reach the post office

I cannot remember the specs of the nTB variant.

Can you try enabling NAT boost in your router. It is hidden under the system parameters settings.

Hi guys, I'm using TP-Link Archer C5400 and my TIME internet has been upgraded to 1Gbps. Speedtest could achieve 936 Mbps / 502 Mbps using CAT5e but still the max speed over wifi is 512 Mbps / 496 MbpsRouter is on the latest firmware. Tested using Macbook Pro 2017 and iPhone X.

The Archer C5400 is on the latest firmware and all the devices is located in the same room.

Any sifu could advice me on how to achieve max speedtest over the wifi?

Upgrading speed is such a bittersweet experience for me...
sweet cause that awesome speed that was previously unattainable for me.
bitter cause I want to upgrade my Router and PCIE card to support the speed over wireless.. need to fork out 700+ ringgit

Shall we gather a list of routers that support 1 Gbps? Many posts on LYN here now are for UniFi up to 800 Mbps only

Updated this list. Most 800 routers can do 1G anyways.

im on the new 500mbps plan,
on lan can get full speed, but on wifi only ~200mbps.

Is there a solution to the wifi speed? Need to get a new router? any recommendation for router? Cheap cheap one is preferable.
