I think umobile monthly plans have always active featureUmobile Thread V11, Your Passion Drives Our Unlimited Ideas

QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Jul 13 2025, 04:11 PM) always active refers to extending the validity when making purchase of internet plans right? My experience so far with U Mobile Prepaid is that my validity do get extended when i purchase U Borneo Plan that costs RM20 monthly not sure if it's applicable for the Rm5 call plan or other data plans though. Most ppl don't understand that there are two types of validity.
1) Plan validity (this is always 30 days) and not important at all. 2) Credit / SIM / Line / Account / Active validity. This is the most important "validity" to monitor. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

Fyi, ....... Gemini AI Overview: U Mobile prepaid plans have an active and inactive (passive) period after a top-up. The active period is the time you can use all services, while the passive period allows only incoming calls and SMS. To avoid service termination, you need to top up during the passive period. Prepaid Plan Inactivity: - New U Prepaid Plan: 30 days active, 60 days passive. - Power Prepaid Plan: 10 days active, 60 days passive. - 5G-Ready Prepaid Plan: Active period validity depends on the top-up amount. - General Prepaid Plans: Terms and conditions vary by plan. Key Points: - During the passive period, you can receive calls and SMS, but you can't make outgoing calls or use data. - If you don't top up before the passive period ends, your account will be terminated. - To stay active, make a top-up to extend the active period. - The active period's validity is often linked to the top-up amount, for example, each RM1 top-up can extend the active period by a day. - Some plans may have a maximum active period, for example, 365 days. Note that U Mobile Prepaid terminated the 365 days passive "Pass" with a single RM33 topup many years ago, and reduced the passive period from 90 days to 60 days in 2014. You will lose your phone number if you do not topup before the deadline of 60-days passive grace period ends = have to buy new Prepaid Starter Pack.. Eg AFAIK, topup Prepaid RM5 = active for 5 days (= can make calls/SMS). After 5 days, enter passive period for the next 55 days (= can only receive calls/SMS). If do not want to lose the phone no., topup before the 55-days deadline, eg another RM5 topup, rinse and repeat. ....... Those with TM Unifi Home Fiber often do this, ie just spend RM30 annually (= RM5 X 6, since 6 X 60 days = 1 year) to keep the Prepaid phone number "alive" or not terminated. Those who rely only on a Prepaid plan for their highspeed "unlimited" Internet and calls/SMS often do auto renewals every 30 days for RM20 to RM40 with their topups = no worries about phone number being inactive/non-validity (cannot surf Internet and make calls/SMS) or losing their phone number when the deadline of 60-days passive period ends. . QUOTE(Chrono-Trigger @ Jul 13 2025, 04:11 PM) Only for their data plan.If I am not mistaken, last time I subscribe their monthly data plan internet follows the 30 days subscription from day 1 you subscribe which is always active. But calls and sms are barred and they follow the credit validity instead. So your internet continues to work during the plan is active but if your credit expires earlier you can't make calls out. |

Once you finish the 5GB, it will start consuming from your main data capYou may need to "activate" it by "purchasing" an Add On (1 time) from the Add On menu Don't remember as I've been using U38 for a long time jasontanky, lurkingaround, and 1 other liked this post

Is it still possible to port in an existing mobile number from another telco to U Mobile by buying a prepaid pack yourself and starting the process online? I don't seem to find that option on thwir website anymore...
