Hi, does Umobile blocks prepaid simcards from being used inside Mifi / router?

I tried putting the Sim inside Mifi, cannot surf internet but if I use my mobile phone as hotspot - yes.

Is this one of the T&C ?

Thank you for your reply. It confirms my suspicion that Umobile blocks Simcard to be used in Modem Router/ Mifi modem for prepaid SIMs.

I thought my mifi modem was spoilt too

I think they only allow it for their broadband SIM, not normal prepaid SIM.

I think they block all modem/ router connection for prepaid SIM.

They don't block it from your phone as wifi hotspot, but they block it if it's inserted into modem/mifi.

Can subscribe to both GX30 and GT30?

Do u face problem connecting to 4G? For me even in full bar 4G area, phone only will connect to 3G

If I am not mistaken, Umobile is riding on Maxis 3G network in Sarawak through RAN sharing. Might see some improvement between 3G/4G switching in coming months when Umobile installs their own 3G network.

The issue I encounter is, I need to reset the phone to get 4G network coverage. But once there is an incoming call, or outgoing call, Umobile switch to 3G and remains in 3G even after the call has ended.

I don't have such issue with Maxis/Digi network. they will switch back to 4G almost immediately after the incoming/outgoing calls have ended.

Do you get echo / frequent dropped calls / people not able to get their calls to you even though the signal bar is full?

How is sms shortcode delivery system by Umobile (TAC from banks)?

Thinking of switching to Umobile, mainly need it for unlimited call purpose.

edited, nvm got answer already (GT30 cannot subscribe together with UMI plan, can only choose one plan at one time)

Guys, if my validity expires tomorrow and I subscribe to GX30 or UMI30 today, can I use the internet during passive period?
