I recently subcribed to U38 Postpaid. It doesn't seem to work on TP-Link MR600 4G+ modem. I tried to set APN Manually 'my3g' but still no internet connection. There's signal of band 1, 3, and 8

I don't have 5G device right now, but funnily when I check their coverage map, there is indeed 5G at my remote kampung area, FOR REAL?!?!
Regardless, I won't be buying any new device anytime soon anyway, and those 5G router I searched appear to be freaking expensive...

what I scare is, if the hotspot shared from 1TB pool is temporary promotion...
that will sucks really bad as I will have to terminate my Digi Infinite 150 plan to acquire this 98 plan.
If this turns out to be really just temporary promotion, my house internet will be completely ruined... there is no fiber/cable at my place.

or worst if that is only applicable for 5G...

what is the internet quota you use every month?

don't have precise record of that, but according to my router record of about 560 days total used 8TB, that's roughly 400GB per month.
mostly streaming youtube / watch anime. Rarely download games or big stuff.

you should able to check it out from your digi statement.

From my reading on Umobile website, it’s a promotion thingy so it is not permanent. Should be stated in faq or terms and conditions.

Promo for new and existing users. after the promo ends, users can keep it.
While for new registration will not get this privilege.

look like postpaid 98 is umobile answer to yes wireless fiber 5G.

Umobile hotspot is meant to work from your phone only. They block usage from Mifi, wireless modem.

Hotlink and Digi hotspot works on mifi/ wireless modem.

If you are not a heavy user, consider using an old / backup 4G phone as your modem and hotspot from it.

If you are a heavy user, you should consider Umobile wireless broadband plan.

Look like U Mobile silent remove the 5GB HOTSPOT from U38/68/98.

There is 5GB hotspot previously. Now removed become Sharing from High-Speed Data.
