I don't have 5G device right now, but funnily when I check their coverage map, there is indeed 5G at my remote kampung area, FOR REAL?!?!
Regardless, I won't be buying any new device anytime soon anyway, and those 5G router I searched appear to be freaking expensive...

what I scare is, if the hotspot shared from 1TB pool is temporary promotion...
that will sucks really bad as I will have to terminate my Digi Infinite 150 plan to acquire this 98 plan.
If this turns out to be really just temporary promotion, my house internet will be completely ruined... there is no fiber/cable at my place.

or worst if that is only applicable for 5G...

don't have precise record of that, but according to my router record of about 560 days total used 8TB, that's roughly 400GB per month.
mostly streaming youtube / watch anime. Rarely download games or big stuff.

I still not sure about 98 + router/modem. Is it just "works", or
"works and can use 1000GB quota with router"? Have you started some heavy download in the hundreds of GBs?

I just saw the umobile 5g home, it says can use in router, can hotspot no restriction, can use with LTE device, 1TB no speed throttle at ONLY RM68

Seriously this sounds too good to be true. Seriously is this really
- can use for PC?
- can use on old 4G LTE router?

I need to know!! I need it NOW! Tired of paying Digi for shit service yet so expensive...
Even if just getting it and use on 4G line only (no 5g coverage) is already better than paying 160 for digi...

Speed is fine for 4g. Family member using umobile for long time already

Dont have any 5g device to test 5g though, but from their coverage map, dont have coverage foe 5g. See if i can find someone with 5g phone to test. If got then i might get a new router.

5g is nice to have but not critical for now.
Right now the most critical thing is burn that digi card and not paying this month bill (almost 31 end of month)
For just 68 going umobile, the saving is MASSIVE

Now 600 can get one
Will likely got even cheaper in the future

25mbps normal
12mbps currently 6pm, with bunch of other people leeching my wifi, no lag or unresponsive so far.

Performance is to be expected, i live in rural area a bit forested area after all.
Doubt 5G reach my area. No device to test it eitherway.

Already far better than Digi previously had become extremely unusable in the kbps during peak hour since early this year, eapecially after merger with Sialcom. Often no respond at all things just fail to load, then also sudden outage despite no bad weather... It was really pissing me off for the pass months. Conspiracy theory tells me they pissed off with the original Infinite150 users, now purposefully throttle people to piss us off.... Congestion in rural area till cannot use, are they kidding me?

Upload on umobile also appear slightly faster.
4mb up normal, currently peak hour still doing 3mb.
Previous digi lucky to even have stable 1mb...............

I need this kind of huge data plan exactly because there is no landline/unifi here. If live in urban area just get unifi lah xD

Not priority right now, but can think about swap router in the future.

There is no function to select band as far as i aware.
Unless you mean a 3rd party tool, there was one I saw on github before.

Sigh, speed stuck at 256kbps with thousand ms ping. The heck happened this week at Batu Kawa Moyan, Kuching area? Im not the only one with network issue here.

Anyone else got the U68 1000gb + router plan and noticed the router internal antenna is weak as F? 🤣😆😂 not usable for me, but it's free anyway, keep as emergency backup or something.
