5G got extra charge for white telco after March 2023

Since currently 5G under the same mother company, what do you think will happen next (domino effect)...

5G currently under DNB right?

All Malaysia telcos (be it yellow, mandarin, green, blue,...) share the same tower and same infrastructure for 5G

And currently 5G is under 'TRIAL'

What do you think will happen

What leaking problem lmaoo??? Umobile 98 plan has 1000gb hotspot quota
*
QUOTE(PRSXFENG @ Feb 21 2023, 01:08 PM)
they changed the 5g plans
you get 5gb hotspot quota
after that runs out, it uses your main data pool to hotspot
so yes, you are allowed to hotspot the 1000gb that is given
*
QUOTE(MNF0 @ Feb 21 2023, 03:51 PM)
It's for both 4G and 5G.
*
Then its quite confusing. Why would they use the word "Ultra Hotspot 5G " , the terminology "5G" is misleading. Oh well, this is Malasia. Cannot sue them for misleading ads.
And why would they need a separate hotspot data, if its not going to like - after depleting hotspot quota, your hotspot will stop.

It means Hotspot with high speed, no speed limit.
Please spell "Malaysia" correctly.

Okey la, enjoy your fake 5G hotspot claims on your 4g phones. High speed means high speed. I still stand firm that For Umobile to claim 5g as high speed on 4g network is still misleading.
BTW Malaysia is also Tanah Melayu, okay? That one is legit for me to claim Malaysia is Tanah Melayu. Just as you want to claim your fake 5g as high speed. Good luck with that

After looking at white telco (U####M#####), i have concern for those who jump ship to 5G plans...

Unless you stayed with GX68, P99, P139...

this is confusing....you should clarify this statement

Just moved from GX68. Confirm U68 using main data after 5GB hotspots data finished. Can continue to cast to TV. I am on 4G phone only. There is no announcement about this. Only received sms saying 5GB hotspots quota finished.

Great! Thanks for sharing your experience. Very useful.

Please don't over-intrepret things....

5G cost is half of 4G, not surprised that TELCO use current 4G cost to calculate their margin and replace with 5G....

this is not illogical

So just need some clarification.

The hotspot quota (currently listed as 5GB) would be removed from our account right? Even for existing U38 users?

Newbie for umobile,

2. Can buy internet data which has long term validity , eg valid 1gb for 365 days?

3. After inactive, how many grace period days before the umobile prepaid line is terminated?

4. What's the minimum money or best way to keep a umobile prepaid line?

Thank you
