If you ask me, TM provides more consistent internet connection compared to TIME, at least in my experience.

My house in Puchong is always 100Mbps no matter what time I do the speed test. In Cyberjaya where I subscribed 100Mbps for homestay business purpose, the speed always drops drastically to 30-60Mbps at night.

On top of that, the latency is always fluctuating. Trying playing online games and you'll get the ping spikes.

You’re right, 2 topics with TIME:
1. Night-time speed drop
2. High ping

So now TM>all.

TIME network is better than TM for foreign websites.

TM is very inconsistent with China and EU based sites.

Yup.
Luckily my house is only single storey, a single dual band router can cover with full 50 Mbps speed on 5 GHz. Now I am just waiting to pull the trigger a dual band WiFi USB adapter for my pc. Then I can turn off the 2.4 GHz.

you mean desktop or laptop ?

i dont really recommend USB wifi adapter.

if possible:
desktop = use pcie wifi or BEST pull lan cable.
laptop = change the wifi card to AC type. eg: intel 7260 wifi ac card

Desktop. Since it is in another room and I don't want the hassle of pulling 🐈 cables. I can live with WiFi adapter since I don't compute much anyway. Already checked the fengshui with WiFi analyser on my smartphone, should be ok.

then i think pcie wifi card is better than usb adapter . coz usb sometimes will give you inconsistency in connectivity.

Update on my issue, after 3 days downgraded my package yet package still the same. Decide to go tmpoint again to ask. After further checking, found out that my building actually has 2 infra, copper and ftth because my building has been upgraded to full fiber. But my unifi cant be upgraded because it still on copper, so they need to relocate my unifi to fiber than downgrade to 100mb. They will send technician next week to relocate my unifi, and another techinian to check on my modem. At last something is happening.

Ok thanks for the input. Will consider it. Getting my infra ready ahead of the turbo to 500 Mbps.

Hi, would like some advise. my unifi just got turbo-ed to 800mb. when i test the speed using LAN, i can get full speed. but Using wifi 5 GHZ i only can get around 200mb from iphone 10 speedtest. i am using asus ac68u router. Do i need to upgrade to better router to get higher speed on wifi?
*
You should get more than that. My ‘crap’ C1200 give 380Mbps wireless.

your router is ok. since 5ghz band too limited their coverage, you need to pull cat 6 cable to another wireleass AP, for roaming inside your house, just to ensure you get constant higher wifi speed coming to your device at least 800mbps. you can use the apps on your device to measure.

Guys, I’ve recently installed a 100Mbps Unifi, and apparently was charged RM260 for installation.

Technician said he used 30meter of cable for the non-standard wiring on top of house, calculation of the bills is correct but I dont understand how it reach 30 meter? The location I set for the Unifi and outside is quit near (5meter).

Take photos and lodge complaint to TM and SKMM for investigation, can waive if not exceed the fiber lengths.
But go thru rooftop or drilling is got surcharges, normally will asked you before act it.
