Notice 1st page showing TPlink Archer C9 support 500mbps for wifi speed.
Is it can support up to 1gb internet speed using LAN because i read smallnetbuilder review WAN to LAN is 7xx mb?
*
Yes, it can.

not really need to hit the max speed, but prefer something that more consistence and reliable, less problem.

Thanks, will have a look on that drool.gif

Search around, seems below are those that meet my requirement (budget & speed that can up to 500Mbps)
Tenda AC15
Tenda AC18
TP-Link Archer C1200

so which should i go for within this 3?
in term of consistency, reliability & durability?

Since you are using TIME you can even flash to the latest firmware. From what I read the firmware for Unifi and Maxis is outdated sweat.gif

Yes, you will need your PPPoE username and password. After that, you are free to set it however you want.

update: on my new ac88u router.

setup last night. at the same spot as previous router (850L/n66u) at living room.

the speedtest dramatically improve over wifi both 2.4 and 5ghz.

wifi coverage also improve alot.

when connect android TV box with paid live tv via LAN no buffer or anything. previously need buffer and the picture when starting will lag abit.

my PC is in upstairs study room. previously only can get 90mbps over a 2.4ghz via repeater (PC connect to repeater via LAN cable, repeater placed at study room)
previous setup cant even get 5ghz signal

now with ac88u without repeater on 5ghz ac can get max 160mbps down 50 mbps up. coverage and speed improve alot.

at my bedroom (behind study room), wifi signal is still okie only can get 1 bar.

when using my laptop which only has 1x1 wifi ac at my bedroom. no signal at all. maybe due to the 1x1 wifi ac card. (this wifi card cannot changed).

will need to reposition the router to next to stair case. (closer to bedrooms) rather than at the edge of living room/garden. this can improve the wifi coverage to my bedroom.

my goal here is just to use only 1 router (ac88u) to cover the whole house wifi. (4500sqft 2 story) rather than using repeater.
