Im staying in 900sqft condo.

and sharing internet (time 500mbps, archer c1200 router) with my neighbour

Currently looking into this router with range extender feature:
https://www.dlink.com.my/product/ac1200-hig...gigabit-router/

https://www.tp-link.com/my/home-networking/...r/archer-c58hp/

Which would be the better choice?

If you have more budget, consider a tri-band mesh WiFi system for the best performance.

If your budget is lower, get a decent Wi-Fi extender and call it a day.

my budget is low. biggrin.gif

what extender you recommend?

from my experience i find that extenders can get quite hot though

I just got myself an AC23 2 days back and set it up. Unfortunately, all the "wall killing" and extra long range wasn't the case. Comparing with my old DLink 868-L, the older DLink performed much better in terms of max 5GHz and similar performance in terms of range. This is especially surprising considering that the 868-L only has internal antenna vs AC23 which has 7 huge external antenna.

Anyone experienced the same thing as I have?

P/S: It is a Malaysia set with the latest firmware installed.

if you want to sell the 868L let me know. thanks.
