Most of the SPayLater/ShopeePay merchants: The cashiers scan your SPayLater/ShopeePay QR. If SPayLater, you need to confirm the number of instalments to complete the payment (FOC only if no instalment). Eg Mr DIY, Econsave, Ecoshop, Guardian.

There are some merchants you need to scan their Duitnow QR and pay. Eg Big Pharmacy.

There was 7 pages of SPayLater merchant list (>100 merchants) at Shopee App a few months ago (not available now). Mostly F&B and pharmacy.

👆You can now choose Pay Next Month, 0 Fees with SPayLater! Pay & purchase for your needs in the Shopee App or in-stores today! 🛍 ⁣

Check out more deals & vouchers with SPayLater here 👉https://shopee.com.my/m/spaylater

I can select spaylater when seller scan my barcode but not the other way round when I scan seller barcode. At least for the latter I don’t see the option available. So you’re saying that regardless of I scan seller or seller scan mine both have option for spaylater right? If the seller does not sign up for special spaylater we won’t get the zero processing fee. That is what Shopee CS told me just now. We will know when the invoice is shown and we can choose to proceed or not.

You need to scan the merchant's QR that allows SPayLater.

Most of the merchant Duitnow QR that you scan won't allow SPayLater/ Grab Pay later / credit cards.

e.g. at Petrol station, the cashier use their E-wallet device to scan your ShopeePay/SPayLater code, it should work. If you scan the Duitnow QR plate, SPayLater will fail, then you need to use ShopeePay (wallet balance).

P/S: I can select SPayLater to scan merchant Duitnow QR to pay. If fails, then I choose Wallet Balance to proceed (ShopeePay).

Ok you mean so long that the spaylater is selected or tick regardless of who scans whose QR code, it will use use spaylater. Unless the merchant does not sign up for then we have to pay with Shopeepay. Got it. Initially I thought spaylater only works on seller scanning my QR code because my QR code is shown in that screen when I can select spaylater but not on the screen where I am supposed to scan seller QR code.

Use SPaylater (Shopee Pay Later) to spend at offline merchants (Guardian, Big Pharmacy, Econsave, 99speedmart, NSK, Mydin, Giant, Cold Storage, Village Grocer, Mr DIY, Ecoshop, Ninso, HeroMarket, Lotus's, Shell, BHPetrol, Petron, Burger King, Secret Recipe, Marrybrown, A&W, Sushi King, KFC, PizzaHut, SenQ, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Zus, emart24, CU, Mynews, Baskin Robbins, Domino's Pizza, KK Super Mart, FamilyMart etc). Anytime not limited to weekend.

The use AMEX to settle SPaylater debt on Sat/Sun.

Easily RM1000/month.

This method only applies on offline merchants? What about Shopee merchant I select spaylater for weekdays check out and pay it full during weekends with AMEX?

You can have 1 Spaylater account and billed monthly. The monthly bill includes all your Spaylater transaction, i.e. payments to Shopee orders and offline merchants. You can always pay Spaylater in advance before billed.

You can always pay FULL outstanding balance anytime before statement date (Click "Pay Early") You can't change the payment amount. Can have multiple payments in a month but always pay outstanding balance in full.

After statement date, you need to settle statement balance in full by the due date.

Charged for agoda in January and paid in full then this month made few other transactions. One day after statement date, agoda refunded.

After offsetting the refund my outstanding was 97 cents that is not even due yet so didn’t paid for it. And completely forgotten about it until I got billed late charge and interest for the month.

Had to call cs for waiver of the late charge and interest charges of 80+ for not paying 97 cents.

And was told not to use the card until it shows zero otherwise interest will keep snowball and they will only do the waiver within 10 working days.

The system really needs enhancement. Just gentle reminder to all. Refund is not captured payment even greater than ur outstanding billed amount.

Always pay the STATEMENT BALANCE by the due date.
If M2U doesn't allow, use Cash Deposit Machine.

Going all the way to a branch just to deposit RM1 is too much effort seriously lol

And paying statement balance will end up with extreme excessive balance which doesn’t make sense too to be fair. Agoda refunded 11k and asking me to pay up another ~11k at cdm?

The refund or Negative value retail transaction is after statement date right?
Then you can't pay the statement balance in full, it will be rejected by M2U. So CDM is the channel to pay Statement Balance in full.

The cs advised to just pay up whatever that’s outstanding by using transfer from other banks. As long the balance on the card goes to zero then you shouldn’t be getting late/interest charges for refund cases.

For my case just transfer 97 cents across and let it goes to zero then I’m good lol

Since past few posts talking about Spaylater, is it possible to pay/settle a big ticket item offering Spaylater option with multiple cards?

Just to maximize CB with cards that i have?

Say i buy an item of RM2000 with Spaylater, then settle it in 2 separate transactions using 2 different cards?

All within a month's time?

You can't change the outstanding balance to "pay early" or the monthly bill amount.

Unless you spilt payments to the merchant.
Eg 1st payment to merchant RM1500
SPaylater Outstanding RM1500
Use Card 1 to settle RM1500.

Then 2nd payment to merchant RM500
Spaylater Outstanding RM500
Use Card 2 to settle RM500

This is how I used 4 credit cards to pay for RM3000 item a few weeks ago. smile.gif

How do we do the split payment to merchant?

Something that we need to text them first to make such arrangement?

And this method is based on the premise we select Spaylater option during checkout?

Sorry, never use Spaylater before, curious to explore it with multi settlement.

Arrange with merchant ya.

Of course if you want to buy a RM3000 item at Mr DIY, you can't have multiple payments.

But if you want to have a RM3000 party next month, the restaurant may give you their Shopeepay QR (the restaurant must sign up for SPayLater), you can pay RM100 everyday, then use a credit card to settle the SPayLater outstanding balance (Pay Early). smile.gif
