I assume your question is on Maybank M2 Amex Gold/Platinum, not another type of Amex.

if you dont activate, maybank will auto-impose sst on 3rd month

You can't change the outstanding balance to "pay early" or the monthly bill amount.

Unless you spilt payments to the merchant.
Eg 1st payment to merchant RM1500
SPaylater Outstanding RM1500
Use Card 1 to settle RM1500.

Then 2nd payment to merchant RM500
Spaylater Outstanding RM500
Use Card 2 to settle RM500

This is how I used 4 credit cards to pay for RM3000 item a few weeks ago.
