feel cheated by tm as old customer paying higher price and still not yet turbo-ed. Asked tm about that and mention wan to switch to maxis they responded it up to you. Is there any way to take any action against them??

i tried that last year. paying RM329/month for 100mbps, then i told then want to terminate , switch to maxis 30mbps rm139 unless TM counter offer. then they offer me 50mbps for rm179 (149 + rm30 aneka pack) which is rm70 discount from official price for 50mbps that time

I'm sorry, but what action would you like to take? Sue? You signed a contract agreeing to pay a certain sum and live within their terms. Now they've come out to fufill the government's mandate and promised to roll out within 6 months to a year. This time period has NOT passed. So, the only thing you can do is to be polite persistence and hopefully, your place will be slotted in for upgrade earlier than intended. Now if you are out of contract and the 1 year has elapsed.. Then sure, make a fuss.. Else, they are within their rights to give SOP answers, no matter how frustrating that can be..

I would know.. I lobbied TM for years to come upgrade infra.. Till date.. Nothing, basically tell you to keep wait or terminate and join another ISP.. Luckily, TIME has responded positively and are in the process of laying full fiber cables capable of even 1Gbps.. So when they are done.. I and a bunch of other proactive neighbors will take TM's suggestions and jump ship..

P.S. Past few weeks or so.. I just rapidly skim through the last page. Cuz it's mostly the same.. Where's my email.. Where's my speed.. Can router x support my proposed speeds..etc.. Whiny..  sweat.gif

Gua agree Sama lu. When I was on VIP 5 TM kept calling asking me to pay a bit more and up the speed. I kept insisting that they are expensive and told them to drop the price. So gradually, they did up the speed and I gradually paid more and for more speed and TV packages until last year I was paying 159 for 30mbps that was upgraded to 50 Mbps with the fox sports and movies pack.
Persistence definitely pays.

I believe you can go to tmpoint and get a price reduction to, for example RM139 for 30mbps. There are forumers who successfully reduce the price to the current offerring. The upgrade doesn't happen overnight. That is why you have people from different state and places getting the upgrade each day. If your contract ended, try to ask for the price reduction or just switch to Maxis. At least you can get 30mbps or 100mbps starting 13 September.

They say Rome wasn't built in a day .. so patience is key.

To be honest, when TM start to introduce fiber connection to the country, I read up a bit on the technology and what is it capable of. The only downside/worries that I had during that time was the bandwidth capabilities of the backbone. Can it be catered?

Also, I am glad for this fiber connection has been enrolled in most parts of the country now if not all, because it opens up to a lot of local content opportunities. Hope it will grow more and better.

I kinda curious how TM deal with very very old time FTTH user who got 850a BTU + orange 615 router. Replace both equipment? Or just replace BTU?
*
Existing customers who need their equipments replaced to cater the new speed will have to wait next year for the Turbo upgrade

Worst fear. cry.gif

For those with older BTU ok no choice.
But for router how do we let them know we've replaced it on our own so they can deploy the upgrade sooner.

Guys I'm paying for RM179 for 50Mbps. Plan to downgrade it to RM139 for 30Mbps. Question - does the 30Mbps plan entitle for turbo upgrade?

Take action - please do switch to Maxis, so that we free up the resources of the upgrade team for the rest of us who are patiently waiting.

Yes. 30 > 100
But you may need to queue again for the upgrade

Probably last priority.

TM must upgrade subscribers who pay a lot for their 30,50,100Mbps first.

Otherwise, how is TM going to justify those who pay RM129 got free upgrade to 100Mbps while those who pay RM200+ for 100Mbps haven't been upgraded to 800Mbps?
It is just a simple business decision.

It does not seem to be consistent.

Why TM does not upgrade streamyx users first because they are paying a lot more than the unifi users?

30>300 is the correct one. I think SilentVampire can add this simple question to page 1 rather than having people keep asking same question every now and then.

I prefer they should resize the logo of the unifi and opt to use the smiley face U instead of both. rclxms.gif

Like SV say Most people won`t even bother to read the front page, they going to keep asking the same thing

My bad. You are right. Should take TP-Link Archer C7 v4 instead, which is 3x3.
Are you on 5GHz? If you are, that means your router and receiving device could not support the turbo speed.
I am responsible for the front page for this thread but there is no point. They won't read and will still ask repeatedly.
