QUOTE(powerwoot @ Nov 3 2018, 10:30 AM) Weird sound from my intake now, sent to workshop this morning and the mechanic confirmed me that the unit need to be replace or repair. But he suggested me to look around the KV as the price in Melaka is pretty expensive. Even the china made also at rm500+. You might want to check with Zordaq see if they got kawan in Melaka knows how to fix IAFM. If your IAFM shaft not yet broken then still can repair punya.wooo... Worst case is to visit their KL outlet for the fix. Zordaq JB charged me RM50 for the repair. |

Do check on do they repair the valve or they remove it. Some workshop eliminate the noise by removing the valve, so you going to have no IAFM for your low RPM fuel savings. Zordaq's way of fixing is add a washer-like tube to stabilize IAFM shaft so it won't rattle. |

The price quoted is rm180, not very sure if the price labour charges included. But anyway, still cheaper than few workshop offer me around rm300 to up than rm500. |

QUOTE(Asus @ Oct 29 2018, 01:04 AM) saw its leaking from the host..my damage was quite severe..i hv to changed the power steering motor as well..last month change compressor, this month power steering pump..after this need to replace the belt tensioner..haish too much edi.. Bro, may i know how long you've had your belt tensioner?Mine screeching early morning even thought it's just about 15,000 km long only. Zordaq used the CFE tensioner on mine citing the thicker shaft of CFE tensioner makes it more lasak. Don't know is isolated case or not but i got a bit regret going for CFE tensioner. |

QUOTE(dannyw @ Sep 6 2018, 03:45 PM) The Coolant part, I still follow SC standard, using Proton and change every 20k. shouldn't be issue. just want to share. i only changed the coolant together with timing belt. other than that, nope. and it's working fine. now clocking 190km, so, twice change timing belt, and also twice changing coolant. yes, me too using stock proton coolant..the only thing that i changed on my car is the extractor and the HU. others are stock. even the stock front abs is still performing fine until now. the a/c i never serviced. it's still just as cold. 2011 persona h line.parts that finally damaged since ownership: 1. drive shaft (left) 2. crankshaft sensor 3. Rear abs and, that's it. This post has been edited by fatani: Nov 5 2018, 11:35 AM |

QUOTE(dinnor @ Sep 3 2018, 10:46 AM) hi guys common tear and wear parts on persona. replaced it twice on mine, but it's just easy to DIY. just need to take off the ignition coil and open a few bolts. release a couple of hose, and unplugged the co2 sensor. take off the old seal, clean the remaining old glue on the rocker cover with a scraper, install new seal and glue it a bit, and reverse the process. total cost would be less than rm50. latest im using the silicon seal. still remains to be seen whether it is better or worst than the common rubber seal.last week i went to SC for engine oil change than the mechanics said some oil leakage detected and came from engine top cover as per photos below and recommend to change the seal cam cover and oil filter cap for a new one. ![]() ![]() and they told me that brake pads almost left 10% for front and 30% for rear brake for your info my persona sv from year 2014 edition what do you think? thanks |

QUOTE(benson92 @ Nov 5 2018, 10:43 AM) mine damaged on the inner side. the one connected on the gearbox. on physical inspection, you'll notice there's freeplay on the driveshaft. but obviously, you'll only notice that if you uninstall it from your car. while driving, you'll notice your car shake when you push your car torquey2 a bit. ha ha. or, like mine, on 100kmh, my left side of my car will vibrate like hell. even the front passenger seat is vibrating. normally, if you hears that tak tak tak sound during cornering, usually it's the cv joint. |
