Zordaq workshop carries Proton original absorber with 3 or 6 months warranty (can't remember). I changed my gen2 full set at Zordaq last year.

Anyone tried Tokico complete full set absorber with coil spring and mounting? I found a few seller at mudah selling this. Wonder why suddenly got this kind of full set as I thought Tokico focusing on Japan car only. Full set for Proton is so surprise..

Yes, as long as the coolant is designed for aluminium radiators.
I use Mitsubishi Fuso Mercedes long life coolant, as I'm more comfortable with a coolant that has met Mercedes standards. Mercedes were the first manufacturers to develop coolant for aluminium radiators when copper radiators were still mainstream.
*
lol, I'm purposely using VW G12+ coolant coz have faith on those coolant. DIY changed twice so far, 77k km from radiator cap see still clear no rust.

Guys , I have been told by the mechanics my rear weheel bearing need to be replaced. I was quoted RM100 ++ for a normal bearing , RM200++ for better quality one... Why the bearing so expensive ? Just curious ... My rear is equipped with disc brakes with ABS. I'm wondering the abs and non abs version bearing are different ? My car clocked 50k KM in 3 years time . Why the car so many problem ? haha
*
You uses as grab is it? What's the current mileage? If mileage exceeding 200k km and many problems, time to change car then. If not mistaken, Proton design Campro engine with 200k km target for service life, so there's reason for parts failing beyond that. Of coz there are many goes beyond and even till 800k km I have seen, but maybe they already changed quite number of parts for maintaining it?

i just bought the car last year . In this half year , I  drove 5000km so far. Total mileage is 56k km now
*
My gen2 now 78k km, absorber failing twice in this period. Other than that quite problemless except some accessories gremlins such as power window, door handle. Don't have bearing issue thus far. Engine mounting could be not in good condition as minor vibration during idle.

My biggest problem is the heavy FC in city traffic jam, so now I seldom drive it to work now

*
On my gen2 it's KYB.
You can get cheaper Proton original at Zordaq, their price very competitive. Come with Proton packaging and stamp.

When u get on the car or driving the car over bumpy road it nyek nyek nyek at the back  biggrin.gif
Monroe feels very good.. the front has just the right amount of damping and rebound, the back suspension feels a bit softer than i would like though.
Sounds like ur motor going to give up soon. Mine also had that symptoms before it gave up.
*
Is the Monroe rear softer than stock?

*
Wow, sounds like you've been testing various suspension... So at the end which one you most satisfied with?

Hi sifus,

Usually the brake fluid is change every how much km?
*
2 years or 30k km for optimal maintenance. This is because brake fluid very quick to absorb moisture. Usually I can feel braking response slower after 2nd year, after bleed and replace can feel immediate braking power restored.

the mechanic just replied to my msg just now, he confirmed that they will do mod/upgrade on the shaft component itself, removing the butterfly is not a good thing to do as it will effect the performance and fuel efficiency depending on the condition of the car. The price quoted is rm180, not very sure if the price labour charges included. But anyway, still cheaper than few workshop offer me around rm300 to up than rm500.
*
their price increased it seems. few years back my friend's saga blm repaired by them, around RM80 that time.

my car battery is 1 year 7 months at the moment. last time my battery went flat without any sign after 1.5 years.

so I need to monitor the voltage now every week

i am not sure what is the minimum voltage should we change the battery?
*
Hard to tell by looking on voltage, i think bare minimum without engine running shall be 12.0V.
to get accurate you need to run load test to see its CCA, if less than certain CCA (can't remember 200 or 250CCA) time to change i think.

isn't that the beam focusing is very high?
with that distance, i think default beam height would be the lowest line?

Your car got consume engine oil or not? If not you use xW50 "grease" oil will make the already slow accelerating campro engine become lorry alike acceleration.
