wooow, new thread. My car generally is still good though almost clock at 160k. Just need to check the wiring as once happened to my all motorized parts buzzing and leds in the dashboard are getting crazy despite with the new battery. 2 days could not start. The best part when the pomen arrived, all went fine.

Weird sound from my intake now, sent to workshop this morning and the mechanic confirmed me that the unit need to be replace or repair. But he suggested me to look around the KV as the price in Melaka is pretty expensive. Even the china made also at rm500+.

You might want to check with Zordaq see if they got kawan in Melaka knows how to fix IAFM. If your IAFM shaft not yet broken then still can repair punya.

Worst case is to visit their KL outlet for the fix. Zordaq JB charged me RM50 for the repair.

I see thanks, I read a workshop in Melaka do provide the IAFM services, but they haven't reply my message yet. The shop name is Dori's btw.

Do check on do they repair the valve or they remove it. Some workshop eliminate the noise by removing the valve, so you going to have no IAFM for your low RPM fuel savings. Zordaq's way of fixing is add a washer-like tube to stabilize IAFM shaft so it won't rattle.
*
the mechanic just replied to my msg just now, he confirmed that they will do mod/upgrade on the shaft component itself, removing the butterfly is not a good thing to do as it will effect the performance and fuel efficiency depending on the condition of the car. The price quoted is rm180, not very sure if the price labour charges included. But anyway, still cheaper than few workshop offer me around rm300 to up than rm500.

Done with fixing the IAFM this afternoon, the mechanic gave some brief explanation about the sound. In my case I have the taktak and another is rattle sound. The culprit is the valve that hold the IAFM shaft inside. Modification done with the valve without removing the whole intake. Now I feel so relieve, no more sewing machine and rat sound from there.

bought a voltmeter which can plug into the car cigarette lighter socket to measure the car battery voltage.

the measurement indicate 12.0V when engine is off. Once start engine, it jump to 14.1V.

May I know what is the normal voltage range for persona battery?
*
I bought one from lazada that has volt meter and usb charger at one. It displays the amp as well. During engine off the volt is around 12.2 and when engine running I am getting a oit 14.2 or more a little bit.

Normal diy, peeled the old yellow layer of fog lamp and making it clear as normal headlamp. Much brighter now especially for the short distance of around 10' in front of the bumper. Last year changed tyres to 195, 55, 15, Looking a bit lowered and sporty, nice handling too.

Try to search for Zordaq, it's in KV. Heard they are doing the same too but much cheaper.

Already asked the shop, getting unknown china brand, hud taking 2 din size including the camera will cost me rm600+.

Few things to do to next to make it my car youthful, change the top gasket cover to silicone type, this is highly recommend by my mechanic over the original proton rubber type. Another budget keras would be front tyres to the good year triplemax to replace my current rovelo.

for me install android unit not worthy as our persona radio spot is too low to look as we drive. better u look for rear view with back reverse camera as exora.
*
I see, I was thinking to go for android due to GPS functionality esp for goople map and waze, together with the reverse view feature. I do agree with you, the sight view HU of persona is more towards to center of the car, unless the screen can be tilt to the driver side a lil bit, buy it is hell ugly I believe.
