Hey people, owned a 2024 cx5 2.0 high about 8k+ range till date

Does anyone have similar issues where there is a "squeaky" sound whenever you go through a bump/slope + brake. Only happen after my first service. It occurs from time to time. Kinda annoying at times.

Was told by SC it's a common issue where the "rubber masuk water." 🤷

Hi guys.. Im thinking of getting a 2021 2.0 cx-5.. Is there anything to look out for? How's the average FC for city and highway driving? Test drove it back to back with a same year CRV and driving dynamics isnlight and day. Cx-5 is planted and stable whilst CRV feels like sampan and made me giddy. Though the space is ginormous in CRV, and pick up of the 1.5T is good, i dont think i can live with the ride.

Another thing i notice is the interior cabin light in thr middle.. Eveytime i press the switch, the whole roof cover is so loose and woobly.. Is it normal?

If 2.0, can test extensively with Socar. Then can review more on the rear legroom for passenger and rear boot sizes

Besides the usual inspection on the vehicle, suggest to check:
1) Service record/ history
2) test drive to check on the transmission response, air-conditioning, suspension

So far from what i know, CX-5 is prone to ngek ngek noise when go over the speed bump. Even more obvious after going over rain water. Sound is coming from lower arm bush. Claimable under warranty period.

Ya typical wear and tear. I also just changed mine recently + absorber bush + brake pad.

Overall Mazda cars are pretty reliable except some common issues like the lower arm and side mirrors.

The car is 4.5 years old. The rear tyre nearly touching the markers already.. Asked dealer to change they say it haven't reach their minimum thickness... The front tyre still ok... Viking tyres.

Things planning to do...

1. Change rear tyres
2. Change gearbox oil
3. Tinted
4. Dashcam front and back

Another thing.. At idle... Is it normal for the rpm to drop a bit then up again? I could be wrong maybe it's when the AC compressor kick in that's causing this? I remember reading somewhere that can ask SC to reset system to solve this?

Budget friendly I believe will be Toyo CR1. You can check out the price from Oscar tyre shop. If you want the best then it'll be Michelin Primacy SUV+

Yes the RPM will drop when idling from 500 to 400. You can find someone from the FB group to tune it so that the RPM doesn't drop. SC will never do anything about it.
