ahhhh i am using the dell 19" wide with my dell xps, but here is the problem during dota..i cannot get the sides to have the black bar...how to do it? change all the video settings but cannot get the side black bar.....getting sick of the wide icons and dota characters already..i prefer with side black bars
*
Try adjusting your GC driver if you are using Nvidia. Change the ratio to "screen fit" (something like that) to 4:3 to make the black bars there. The reason your are not getting the black bars is because the Dell you are using does not support 1:1 mapping.

LOL..This is because the promotion by Dell is too tempting + the excellent Customer Service makes this an all around product. At least for me though..LOL..

That's a lot of weight on one stand - doubt you can find it here, and even if you could it would cost a bomb.

from website, dell 2407WFP power consumption is 110W.
so big, is this true?
this PS is almost same as 19\" CRT.
dell 22\" lcd is stated ~50W only.

is dell monitor good?I have 17 inch dell entry monitor... I put it on computer desk and then 'baring' on lantai to watch video. what disappointing me is the display got a bit black on the top when watch at lower angle. is it 'biasa' for situation like that? and can't see any detail if the background picture is dark. very annoying la~~

Entry level will be using the TN panels, and their vertical viewing angle is absolutely terrible. If you want an improvement over your current 17 inch, you have to do some research and make sure the panel you're getting is PVA/MVA or if you got the money, IPS.

Well, thats normal especially on TN panel. My 17" and 22" Dell LCD also have viewing angle problem...

I set it at the native resolution (1650 * 1050). Its still acceptable by me. The funny thing is, at first, it felt small but after a while when you switch back to 17", you will be amazed by how "BIG" those icons and fonts become..

Is it normal for LCD monitor to dissipate quite a lot of heat? Especially at the back/top part of it. It's hotter than my previous 17" CRT.

Dell users, specifically 2407 series. How are you guys deal with this? Or just ignore it?
