Anyone using this wide screen monitor: Dell E228WFP 22"?
Is it good to bundle with the speaker? because i plan to purchase with my credit card via flexi payment, the catch is i need to spent 1k on the item in order to get the 0% installment. any advice whether i should proceed with the speaker or look for other item> ?

Added on July 22, 2007, 1:07 amalso may i ask, the dell 22" support 1680 X1050. How can i check my graphic card can handle it? By the way, i'm using ati9550.
i check under Display properties, the closest to i can get is 1600 x 1200. The highest can go is 2048 X 1536.
if my gc canno support 1680X1050 is it ok?

[QUOTE]Who said anything about the positioning? It is the text quality that will be affected. You run anything other than the native, you get sucky text quality.[/QUOTE}

Oppss sorry, i'm new to wide screen monitor. what i'm asking is, emm..i base on the dell17" lcd for this example because i only used this LCD before only.

Not all monitor has the same function. Some function are disabled when you connect via DVI. You can try connecting using analog and see if what you want will appear.

ahh..ic..so u suspect is the DVI cable causign this lar..hmm..i wonder why when connect DVI they disable it... mebbe later i try with VGA cable n tell u guys about it.! thanx

Using DVI is best because the original signal from your video card is digital in nature. With DVI the signal is kept as digital from video card to monitor and it is perfectly synchronised (hence no need for auto adjustment, etc).

VGA input is analogue and there is digital-analogue conversion going on. In order to lock in the signal better you need to auto adjust, which you don't need to do with DVI.

I try with VGA cable. Now i notice the difference. Thanx
