QUOTE(laguna1811 @ Jul 27 2007, 10:32 AM) erm... 22" lcd watch normal DVD quality not so nice? It'll be pixelated - you need to not watch it at your desk. Once you get more than 5 feet you should be fine. Don't let that put you off tho. It's simply because the monitor is much larger. You need HD content to make it look good.

Not all monitor has the same function. Some function are disabled when you connect via DVI. You can try connecting using analog and see if what you want will appear.

Especially on low res stuff, just doing something as simple as blend will improve the viewing experience by leaps and bounds.

Widescreen movies are meant to be watched in widescreen. If you're switching from a 4:3 display, you'll notice how much diffence it makes in the size of the picture.

The picture will only be streteched if you watch 4:3 media on widescreen. There is nothing wrong watching widescreen media using 4:3. All you get is 2 larger black bars on top and bottom. It actually depends on the LCD, the setting and the type of connection. Try watching astro on a LCD TV, watching C.Ronaldo is like after he put on 20 pounds.

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jul 24 2007, 12:58 PM) dont waste ur time with PC Fair. during PC Fair u go to LYP and buy ur stuff there...should have a lesser crowd. and prices oso roughly the same. our PC Fair here is a real joke honestly. go to singapore's PC Fair and they slash prices like mad! At the previous PC Fair I managed to buy some networking stuff and multifunction printer for lower price than at LYP. So I wouldn't say that the price is "roughly the same". Added on July 27, 2007, 10:07 pmQUOTE(Dickong @ Jul 25 2007, 10:06 PM) Hi guys, do you believe that i order my 22 lcd yesterday from Dell and i receive it today at about 9.10pm. Thumb up for Dell and the tele saleperson by the name of Cherry. Whoa, that's fast! Do you live in Penang? And some more they delivered late at night too; I thought they stop delivering after office hours. This post has been edited by jchong: Jul 27 2007, 10:07 PM

QUOTE(Dickong @ Jul 26 2007, 06:19 AM) Wonder at what resolution did you set your 22 in lcd? At 1680x1050 can you guys still see the wording, i mean the fonts is so small, and did you guys change to large fonts.TQ You should always set LCD to native resolution for maximum sharpness. At 1680x1050 on a 22" LCD the wording is still slightly bigger than on a 17" LCD.

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Jul 27 2007, 08:20 PM) watching astro on 32" lcd tv not so good... it looks pixelated... when I change to 4:3 format then only it looks okay/normal but it leave a 2 black bars on the left & right Astro signal is 4:3 so if you want it to fit full screen on your LCD tv then it has to stretch to 16:9. Whenever you have to stretch a picture the quality will worsen. Watching in original format is best, but you have to live with the black bars on the sides.
