Is there any S-IPS/S-PVA 22 inch (W) available in the market? Any brand?

I'm not a gamer so I don't bother about response time. Only color depth and viewing angle is crucial for me.

Why the hell that Dell doesn't produce 22Wide Ultrasharp? sad.gif

The latest 24inch SAMSUNG SYNCMASTER 245B is using TN panel? Does this means that all manufacturers will go for TN and leave S-IPS/S-PVA behind due to cost cutting?

LG L245WP and BenQ FP241W are S-IPS .. It matches your budget. If I were you.. I will get any of these straight away.

I already placed an order for 2407WFP + 5 years warranty. Can't resist the temptation. I hope I made the correct choice.. RM1.07/day for 5 years. lol.

Now I'm using 17" crt. I hope the migration to 24" wide LCD would be a good investment.

Guys, do I really need an UPS for smooth power delivery? A normal PK AVR isn't enough?

Badguy86, How long does it take for Dell to send you the 2007WFP? I mean the point when you first ordered it.

Thanks mate. That's very helpful. Btw, were you at home when the guys from Dell sent your LCD? Is it ok if someone else receive it? I won't be at home at daytime. I seldom order stuffs online so I'm not quite sure of how this sort of thing goes.

I see. Is there any chance that Dell will call us 1-2 days to confirm the time/date of delivery? Wish that I'll be at home so I can scrutinize everything on the spot if there's any DP, defects etc.

Kalakatu,

IMHO, if you're concern about picture quality, why don't you consider Dell 2007WFP? it might be abit smaller but it's better than both Samsung's/LG's TN

Yea, using cc is easier. Dell's appointed transporter called me just now. They'll send my 2407WFP-HC around 1pm tomorrow. So fast? I ordered
on July 11th (wednesday night).

I thought Dell's rep will call me first for order verifying purpose? no?

My 2407WFP-HC arrived!!! it only takes 2 1/2 days!!

I already assemble it to the stand but haven't plug it in yet.

Have to go to LY to buy an AVR. My PKE AVR was already dead last month (after 10 years). Hope for temporary period only. Gonna get a descent UPS after this.

17crt -> 24wlcd . hurrahh!!!

Yeah Bryan! same packaging! But I wonder why it's written as 2407WFPb at the back? Is it normal? No indication of HC on the nameplate?

To regulate the voltage. Use it for pc/monitors to avoid from the effect of power surge in case there's thunderstorm or instability of the electrical power supplied.

Depends on the availability of the model you want to buy and your location (maybe).

For me, it took 2.5days.

Hehe, Dell bandwagon.

Bryan, do you use color profile/icc file that's provided in the CD for your 2407-wfp-hc ? I read somewhere that it's the same icc file that's used for 2407wfp-non-hc. Does this means that the enhanced 92% color gamut won't be utilised?

akachester, you only opt for the 3 years warranty?

Why didn't you take 5 years? only topup RM65 to get the additional 2 years. Anything can happen within 2 years man.

Ruffstuff, What do you mean by not being square to the bezel? Or you may describe it as not properly aligned?

AFAIK, there is no delivery on weekends. Dell are not open on weekends. Anyway, you can arrange a date with them to deliver the LCD or ask someone to receive it from you..
*
Does that includes saturday? Cause I got mine last saturday. Normally the delivery will be done by 3rd party transporter.. not by Dell.
