Good article to read.
Hisense U7A is a midrange TV, not a entry level TV.
So far based on what I can find in internet it is using native 120Hz panel.
I have seen the TV recently, well I did not find any motion issues.
Seems like better than 60Hz Samsung NU7400.

LG brand.. I used to love them coz their appliances are full of features. But this is what I encountered lately.. :

1. LG Aircond, used for 6 years, parts are now discontinued - (remote control unit is faulty in the indoor unit)..
2. LG LED TV. 6th year too.. Repaired once during the 3rd year, and now HDMI ports giving up, and the relevant part (the mainboard) is also discontinued.

So, i guess it is their aggressive product development that they are focusing on, never put your hope on using the product with appropriate parts and support after 5th or 6th year. Have to go back to Pana for aircond, and now switching to Sony with at least 5 years warranty..

Of course higher series is better. Meaningless question.
The question is like "Mercedes C class or S class better? "

I'd say all manufacturers don't build stuff to last nowadays, Sony and Panasonic included. Your issues started in year 6 so I'm not sure what relevance a 5-year warranty would be. Sony could still discontinue the parts after year 5, fulfill all their requirements for warranty support and you won't be able to repair your TV.

I guess we're all out of luck nowadays. sad.gif

normal consumer behavior - being loyal to the brands u have good exp with.

aircond... 6 years? that's very poor. i have some mitsubishi that are 20 years, still going with parts.

generally, that is true - we r living in a throw-away society; electronics/computer/IT tech move too fast... nobody make them to last too long.

still, if 5-6 years, that's average i wud think. 3-4 is too short, will feel like a sucker. >7 years will be a bonus.

which is also why u have to be in the highest income/spending segment to spend rm10-20k on a "best-best" tv that may last <5 years.

During warranty period, if no more spare parts available, the maker will(should) replace with new TV model.

Hi,

I`m a noob with TV settings.
Getting my Sony 55X7500F this weekend, what`s a good TV setting for predominantly Netflix and Miracast browsing on Chrome?

Or standard setting is sufficient?

Usually watch my TV on a fairly bright lit living room during the night and day time, it can be quite bring in the morning.

Any recommendation?

Closer to Q2 or even mid year.
When the TVs come out you'll be paying full retail price for them with little if any discounts.

Some functionality announced for 2019 Samsung TVs eg Apple TV and Airplay will actually be made available on 2018 TVs too

Make sure you dont cover the tv cover holes, worry thermal issue for the TV in long run.
Also it is best not to use TV USB port to power the LED strip.
LED strip will draw quite high current constantly, so worry your USB 5V power management IC become too hot and die soon.
So better use external USB adaptor.

thanks for reply!

anyone in here set their tv with this LED strip? I read it helps viewing experience and ease your eyes too.
