Hi guys, which TV below would you recommend for a 55"?

Sony 55'' 4K HDR UHD Smart TV KD55X7000F
LG 55-inch UHD TV LG-55UK6320
Samsung 55-inch NU7100 Smart 4K UHD TV SAM-UA55NU7100
*
I'm looking at these 3 models too, my 5 years old 40-inches Hisense died on me earlier this week.
For a normal LED HD TV bought on Lazada at RM600 ++ then, it has serves me well over the years

Nevertheless it is time to look for new TV and am planning to upgrade to 55 inches, smart TV with budget around 2.5k.
Appreciate responses and suggestions, thank you.

Ok, now im considering Samsung NU8000 vs LG SK8000.

Are LG tv reliable? Have a friend who bought LG tv few years ago, less than 1 year got problem.. so abit hard for me to consider LG.

But now I'm looking for a tv for myself, LG's price for SK8000 are more attractive compared to NU 8000. So considering LG too.

Any feedback?

The LG is a bit better for user experience , the NU8000 is better for picture performance .

thanks.. went to the shops over the weekend.. i think it will most probably be Samsung NU8000. LG SK8000's picture is abit darker.

I also considered Sony KD8500F but samsung Nu8000 still has brighter/nicer pic quality.

I have a Samsung Premium UltraHD KS7000 TV, bought in 2017. It was actually the flagship from 2016 though. Today, you can find the NU7000 and NU8000 series. Although the numbering is similar, the replacement to the KS7000 series is the NU8000 series, not the NU7000.

If you intend to use it with a PS4 Pro or Xbox One S/X, this TV will fit you just nice. It's more or less a direct replacement for my TV, but it now supports the HDR10+ standard too. No Dolby Vision support though. Samsung came out with HDR10+ as a rival to Dolby Vision. The brightness level on my TV goes up to 1000 nits, the same as the NU8000.

You'll need to manually enable HDR on the HDMI ports that you want to use though. Otherwise it won't be detected by the PS4 or Xbox One S/X.

NU7400 not much difference with NU7100 except the panel support wide colour gamut.
In SDR content, not much improvement over NU7100.

Panel is 60Hz. Brightness similar to NU7100. (according to my eyes)

I don't know how good is this TV, but if you intend to use it for 4K HDR, the NU8000 series is a better option. From the Samsung website alone, we can see that the PQI (Picture Quality Index) for the NU7400 is 1700, while the PQI for the NU8000 is 2500. PQI is Samsung's own term for measuring their TV's picture quality though, so this may be subjective. My own KS7000 PQI is only 2100 for example.

For viewing SDR content I think it should be fine. But for HDR content, you would need a TV with a good enough peak brightness value. Otherwise, there won't be much of an improvement when watching HDR content. I tried to look around for more information, but I am not able to find any information on the peak brightness value of the NU7400. I know the NU8000 has a claimed peak brightness of 1000.

Overall, if you just need to have a basic 4K TV with HDR, the NU7400 is fine, but there are better options out there.

I just bought nu7400.. so far view is magnificent. Especially if i play 4k from youtube..
One thing i notice, the sound system on this tv is really very good.. i have xiaomi soundbar i plan to connect it with bluetooth, but i dont think it is necessary for now..

I tried watching few netflix contents (movie and tv series), it is surprisingly good.. the image is crystal for non 4k contents..

As you can see in picture below, the new tv on the bottom...
Now watching avengers to check on quality

The 8000 series is far expensive for my budget..

If i can get the most out of technology for 50inch, im fine with that..
And i see nu7400 does suit my expectations.

Right now price seem become more affordable

Sony KD-49X7000F
Samsung UA49NU7100KXXM

These three manufacture had a model listed RM17xx to 18xx for online purchase and RM19xx retail purchase
