Nothing special for Android TV..Prefer buy a TV box. My friend bought Sharp Android TV, after 3 years no update and YouTube unable to play because is old version. Last day I decided bought the  LG TV  because the  colour more natural after compared with other brand. Feel  uncomfortable with Sony/ Samsung panel defaults  settings is too bright and sharp.  My model is 55 Uk7500, with A.I magic remote. I think other brands without this kind of remote control. Rm 3699..Think is reasonable for this model.

Uk7500 is IPS with nano cell
Only comparable to sony x8500 IPS with trimulinous

LG remote has upper hand

Yes, have compared this model also. But don't like this kind of brightness and colour.

I just bought sony KD-55X7500F for rm2999 on 1st dec 2018 from suria jerai store. 2 days later a guy from senQ which i visited earlier but cancelled due to price at that time was rm3099, whatsapp me promo price rm2699. Not my luck. After a month of using it i'm just happy with this tv and not facing any problem yet. I'm planning to pair with sony HT-S700RF soundbar system.

Wow SenQ is even cheaper than Sony own sales!!
Let us know when you have the Sony soundbar.
Currently "researching"soundbars and JBL Bar 3.1 have good reviews. Lazada's RM2400.
Note: SenQ online site showing RM 3239 for 55X7500F

I am a noob and this is the first TV in my life. I bought a LG 55" UK6300 during the last day last half n hour of 12.12 sale @ RM2169, without doing any research.

I was struggling between LG UK6300 and Sony X70F at the shop. Both model same price. Both display TV was playing different demo video so I couldn't do any picture quality comparison. At the end I was attracted by LG user interface and the pointer style remote, and the salesman said LG panel better than Sony. Sony more advance in audio. So I chosed the UK6300 when they closing the shop gate for asking ppl to go away...

Bought it home, setup, and start enjoying HD videos n PS4 with stock setting. I have no idea at all about TV setting. I only watch TV series and movies at night in a half dark small living room with only one yellow small light on at the corner of my studio. As a cinema super fan, I feel just OK with it because the not so bright and not too sharp color of this TV gave me a very close to cinematic feel. Only the soap opera effect is a bit weird during slow scene, and it disappear during fast action scene. Picture become a bit blur during fast action. And I notice there is a slightly lagging effect from time to time during playing video by connecting to laptop via HDMI cable. Playing PS4 has no issue at the moment because I only play Street Fighter 5.

Bluetooth connection with my cheap Philips soundbar is crap because the audio will become slower than the video. End up I need to buy optical cable to connect the soundbar and the Bluetooth become useless...

The next day I passby SenQ and so ngam all TV is playing the same 4K demo video. So I walk in and keh poh look see look see. When I compare the picture quality between UK6300 and X70F, I was shocked and speechless. Because the Sony X70F clarity and color sharpness is way way way much much more atas than the UK6300. At that moment I only know what the hell is X-reality Pro.

I went home and start Google the info between this 2 models. That time I only know what the hell is RGBW, IPS. I called up the shop to ask for a model change with top up money but I was rejected. No choice but to continue "enjoy" my close to cinematic feel..

However, until few days back I passby another SenQ. Walk in keh poh again and the X70F is playing a lower resolution demo movie. I believe is something 480p. The picture quality is super crap on it. All kind of pixelated edges. I can't even see a human face clearly and sometimes eyes nose mouth is just missing when the ppl is a bit far away from the screen in the movie. The same video looks acceptable on other Sony higher end model but only super crap on X70F. It looks like 144p on it. While I am glad my UK6300 still can see nicely (picture just become softer) while I stream some lower resolution movie via laptop. I am not sure whether isit the X-reality Pro make low res video become even worse.

Recently just found some video about how to setting the picture quality of LG TV. But I have no time to tested it out yet.

I am not sure whether I made the correct choice or not between UK6300 and X70F. Very very confusing and headache after read quite a lot of the TV info nowadays, VA, IPS, RGB, RGBW, true 4K fake 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, blablabla....

I am sick..

Dear Sifu & Pros,

I bought a SONY 49" 4K Ultra HD Smart Android LED TV KD-49X7500F from LAZMALL sold by "Primadeals" AMT RM2,188.

1st time receive the parcel, the seller was so generous, that they gave me a 55 inch 4K Ultra HD Smart Android LED TV!!
So happy i open up and install right away!! But when i switch on, there was a defect, two white strip and part of the frame cannot cover the screen. And last but not least there were no WARRANTY CARD.
It's pretty obvious the seller intention. I have it return and ask for a replacement.

2nd time receive the parcel, this time is was good, right size, looks new. But it don't have WARRANTY CARD and got 2 items missing.
1. There were no strap, a safety features, so you can tied the TV at the TV cabinet and prevent it from fall down.
2. The items look like an earphone. I don't know what it is. I saw it in YouTube unbox.
( In the instruction manual, it mention these 2 item only available in certain country )

In YOUTUBE unbox the WARRANTY CARD suppose to seal together with the instruction manual but it was no wear to be found.

The instruction manual don't have BAHASA language & English language. Just that they gave you another copy of English version.
and inside got another small book in THAI language.

Dear Sifu & Pros, have you guys encounter this situation before? What should i do? Have anyone bought a SONY TV recently?
Do you guys have the strap and the thing look like an earphone?

Please HELP..

I’m also in the hunt to buy my first 4K TV. My area is not so big only 10x10 with a 3 seater sofa with dim environment with very2 less natural lighting. So after reading I found out that maybe a VA would suit my setting well. Any good recommendation for a 55” 4K TV? I’m looking at X70F..Hao Huat selling quite cheap at RM2,399..but I’m not sure if it’s a VA panel

X70F is IPS panel, but it's viewing angle is not as good as LG IPS. I compared it in the shop. X70F color will fade after certain angle bit brightness and clarity still good.

I believe X70F is one of the best entry level model in playing high res video because of it's X-reality Pro tech.

But I suggest u do some comparison in the shop with lower res video too because we do not have high res video all the time.

And I heard X70F is very bad in playing fast action scene too.

They are the same , 50 inches or below are all IPS . The conflicted reports of VA / IPS panels only happen on 55 inches and above .

For the smaller sizes ( 50 >) , yes .
For bigger sizes (55+) you should probably ask the merchant first .

Many reported cases of TV's being damaged when bought from lazada and shopee. Then you will have to go through the stupid leceh process of filling the form for refund and wait like hell. Not a pleasant process to go through

It is not that simple .
Because even within the same lineup , there are different models such as X7096F , X7003F , X7000F etc.  Different people are telling different stories , perhaps they are not wrong , I suspect they may have purchased a different warehouse version .

The catalog I received from Sony a long while ago did list the all the models from XF70 are IPS .
Since then I have received PM from owners who had told me ( and proved ) I was wrong .

Sony itself is reluctant in discussing the VA / IPS enquiry as well .
To be safe , You should probably confirm with the Shop merchant first .
It is only going to get more confusing next year as Sony is ready to implement the " X-WIDE ANGLE " in many of their 2019 TV , which has tendency to cause VA TVs to lose black levels in addition of better viewing angles .

After seeing this Sony 2019 line up chart I think it is worth to wait for 2019 models.
Better SoC, even 7000 series using 120Hz panel, got X1 engine etc....
Thanks for the ultimate sharing dude.

Right now I am thinking to get 55NU7400 or hisense 55U7A (my budget is 3K).
Already tested 55NU7400, satisfied with colours and enough brightness for my eyes.
For Hisense U7A, yet to find it a shop sad.gif but I expect it will give better performance than NU7400.

My house renovation will complete around February, so I expect huge price drop that time as Samsung will release new model around March-April.

If you can stretch the budget to RM4k, I'd definitely recommend the Samsung 55NU8000. Decent HDR and Wide Colour Gamut. Also has FreeSync support. I just bought the 65 inch version for RM5900 from TBM. Excellent TV for the price.

I tested the Hisense 65 inch U7A. It's somewhat blurry even after tinkering with the setting. The PQ is just not that sharp for a 4K TV. Tested with Jacob & Katie Schwartz "morocco" video in 4K on Youtube. I strongly suggest you test the 55 inch first before buying.

PROTIP: tell the salesperson that you're scouting for best prices and tell them you got a better price from other dealers. I haggled with 2 dealers who competed with one another and got the price down from RM6200 to RM5800 (although I ended up buying the one for RM5900 because the RM5800 came in late) inclusive of delivery.

Yes agree with you bro.
U7A only comparable to NU7400, if compare with NU8000 I know it cannot stand beside.
Price difference between 55 u7a and 55 NU8000 is ~RM1.4k.

For sure I will test 55 u7a one day, if it's PQ superior than NU7400 then I might consider it.
Lets see

To see how well your TV can actually display, adjust the settings a bit (see rtings.com for details, I trust them more than most youtubers) then download the free demos from 4kmedia.org and start playing.

In my limited experience there's very little difference between the low end Samsung, Sony and LG when playing proper 4k demos. Once you get to the real world ie low resolution input, compressed video etc. then you see differences but even then it's not huge.

Good luck.
