Ok now that's weird. I dont think that ir is necessarily have that kind of problem. We buy a new laptop and one of its function is to at least read DVD and it didnt. You should at least report about this as this could cause more problems in the future. If needed, they might want to recall all defects lappies and get it repaired or something.

Yeah, Sony is way sensitive - they seem to like original stuff only IMO.

yup....dvd rom could my CnC 3 dvd at the first time, after that it couldn't read the dvd ever again. Whenever i put it inside, it'll has those weird sound coming out.

And one more thing, my Qpower when startup eats my 50% cpu for quite long time which makes my lappy laggy even though it's a core 2 duo!

i didn't bother to install any applications except for Nero and BenQ Surround.

lolz mayb benq's one no use. Last time i'm use acer one is quite good ^^

it is still good but i don't like it. too much thing on the desktop leh.

not really.... it was very smooth.. i put high everthing.. Anti aliasing lvl 1.. highest res.. it was smooth... tip delay for the mouse i set to half... it feels smooth.. just that the things are quite small... like the units too small for my eyes to see, sigh... 14 inch monitor, needs some getting used to

Just install Nero. BenQ Surround is a pack of f*** if you ask me. Doesn't do wonders that it's supposed to for my movies.

If benQ surrund so good then my Acer Gemstone Surround will blow me away.

i can say most of the things are useless... those apps that comes with the name benq all pretty useless.. just the function key screen is abit useful.. when it indicates the things that are turned on or off
