if you have install the camera driver... the Benq Eye driver.. uninstall it. I had problem shutting down or restarting after i installed the driver.

i got problem with dvd, when it spins, the vibration and spin + scratch sound is loud.. when i press the dvd part, it become quiet. is it loose or what??

anyone can help me with driver for:
1. Mass Storage Controller
2. Modem device on high definition audio bus?

thn ... the both drive u can use the cd given
1.card reader
2.modem ...

So far, no much complain from my brother bout S41, EXCEPT for the DVD-ROM. I bought him some original games (CnC and Patrician) but it's not readable!!! Argh... He's now in NZ, no idea how to see what's wrong with it =/

Well, it refused to read my CoH DVD until i re-inserted it three times. Anyway, laptop drives are known to be choosy of the media they read.

And this is also applies to other laptop brands as well. Not only BenQ.

what brand of dvd-rw is it? i found that nec is quite ok

No idea whether it's sensitive, picky / choosy, or simply just wonky, but as much as I have tried, currently I would say the drive is the most problematic to me so far.

P/S: Aoshi, I'm not complaining that BenQ drives got problem, I'm just trying to say MY S41 is having problem reading the DVD's I have. It's not BenQ, Sony or whatever brand in discussion - just want to know whether the rest have such problem or not.
