This whole month was pleased

-Able to stream Hulu (sometimes okay , something bit problematic) , it was around 10GB. I've given up on downloading instead I am making use of Streaming technology to view content directly from US. I've a valid US address and such so that kinda makies it easier + VPNing to my US Server

Download to European servers are pathetic , at most I can get is 30-40Kilobytes/sec

Thats about it for this month. Just to let you know that connection to US is superb

currently on strongvpn sans Fransisco server.. streaming radio @128kbps ok, download from rapid up to 550kB/sec ok..but on streamyx, tomorrow you never know.. haha

cool, now im thinking of upgrading my package

You need to pray that 4M is supported in your area.I have a very bad experience to make the upgrade because of so called 'infrastructure limitation' in my area.Thus,I only could roll back to the previous 2M plan.

I was thinking to report to MCMC since u got this letter so i use the softer way to get my second line upgraded to 4.0 Mbps

My 1.0 Mbps is free now during the cooling off periods no call from TM.Nut it's already almost 2 weeks now

You might want to state the area u are in because different contractors/technician are in charge of different areas

How is your line quality?if it is good,i think you could get your upgrade unless there are out of 4M ports.

i wonder can we upgrade from previous Streamyx user to another one like from those entry user to another ?

Last time i manage to register 4.0 Mbps due to new registration failed to do so if using the current account

Sigh... The streamyx technical guy finally came in today to check my line.

While using my belkin router, I am able to get:

Noise margin Downstream (dB): 17.0

Attenuation (dB) Downstream: 57.0

But when he tested using his billion modem:

Noise margin Downstream (dB): 8.1

Attenuation (dB) Downstream: 79.5

He advised me to go to the tmpoint to see what can they do more me.

Is there anyway for me to ever get the 4mb line?

i want to ask 3.48mbps is it normal for streamyx 4mbps ??? i just got mine and i ask technician to capped it higher but he say that speed mean your speed ad..... WTF...


any experience on how to dealt tis problem ?

Mind posting your "Line Status" page and Speedtest results? Need to see your line status to double check the Noise Margins and capped speed...

Mis-capping quite common due to TM's lack of control on their "ground technicians"

Its your lawful right to have at least 90% of the subscribed throughput, both upload and download. So in theory you should be getting at least 3.69/0.46 Mbps for the 4Mbps package.

I was getting your speed on my account but insisted that it should be at least 3.69/0.46 Mbps 95% of the time so they did something and got me the above speeds.

Again 115.x.x.x ip doesn't count as 4Mbps . You need to wait till your IP is in 218.111 range or 218 range before you can rant.
