Speedtest.net only has a few China severs, it will be highly unlikly the site you are going to visit is at the same location with the speedtest servers.I would say do a traceroute using Pingplotter freeware and see where the problem lies. Most of the time it would be TM's poor IP routings tho. IMO, there is nothing you can do about it unless they change the routing for your IP range. Mind sharing what website you are facing problem? I'm locked in 218.111.4.XXX / 218.111.5.XXX. Maybe we can do a comparison between our IP ranges? |

To share my frequent dc problem last time was due to the lighting isolator that I installed.
After I unplugged the thing, no more frequent dc. Cheers! |

They told me that 4Mbps is not available based on my homeline number. I am living in a condo in TTDI, and I noticed that some of my friends living here managed to get 4Mbps.
I asked whether or not it is because the ports are full, if so how do I get on a waiting list. They could not provide additional information. |

i'm kinda waiting when this 'new high speed' will come to PG
but i seriously doubt it can be any better - at least for now, i cant felt any difference between 2mb and 1mb and if they counter by 'your surfing is all right' - buddy, if all i want is to surf, why would i even want to pay rm200 for your 'high speed'? |

Right now, it is like 2 Mbps speed only. hmm... I'm in Bt Maung Penang. Before the 1st October telephony disruption problem occured, I usually get 115.* IP but since then, I'm only getting the 218.111.*
I noticed there' not much difference, but torrents go to maximum speed faster with 115.* IP. 218 pickup is a bit slow. |

unfortunately the happiness of 218.208 IP not last long.. now this IP become slow.. even im not a heavy downloader.. avg data transfer for me is 2~5GB/day and sometime not even reach 1GB. radio streaming always buffer.. max speed for download reduce to 100+kB/sec.. and lately i have problem ppp authentication failed when try to connect. when i calling tm's monkey (100), they said 4mbps user now have that difficulties to connect and now they trying to investigate why.. tm oh tm..

So far so good 218.111 is the best because all leased line static ip users also using this range so this range would be their first priority
