thanks for the reply. can i use that modem with a switch and configure QoS on it?
*

U can use it together with switch but im not sure whether there is QoS function, even if yes, i dont think it is a reliable one.
You can go this website http://riger.com.my/ and looks for the modem DB102, this is the modem that wil be provided by TM when u subscribe for streamyx package with modem.

regarding the capping of the line, who decide? is it the technician or the tm people..coz i know many subscribers of 1mb actually are capped at 1.5mb to an extent of 2mb..although mine is capped at 1mb , i`m not complaining(cant actually tongue.gif ) becoz thats how much i pay..by the way have they restore u back to 4 mb?
*
Just request the TM installer to cap u at higher port.

aspire2006 , umm I must warn you this though. That only applies for 1Mbps/2Mbps. If you upgrade you'll be charged RM 88. TM folks will come to your house and do checks before they sync

The moment you register for 4mbps and if everything is okay , you'l lbe charged RM 88. That includes for folks who are going to upgrade as well. You cannot avoid that fee , I know its expensive and its stupid , but you can't avoid that

Thirdly there is no DIY streamyx 4mbps upgrade , TM folks must come and check if the line is 100% okay for 4Mbps

Just wanna inform u the installation charge is waived since October.
