Hmm, noticed that there are no 144hz screen option for onyx lite currently. And big different between 60hz and 144hz?

If you game on something that is higher than 100fps, then it would be worth it. MOBA usually benefit a lot since it is not insanely graphic intensive. If your FPS is usually just around 60-70fps on high/epic settings, then 60hz screen should do fine. FPS is not equivalent to screen refresh rate though. Yet again, pushing the GPU to render high will cause high fan noise and heat as well. So in my opinion, there isnt much regret of going for 60hz screen.

eSports like Overwatch will benefit , and even MOBA also . So if you got the money opt for 144Hz

Depend on wat game you play . For RPG games, i will say not much benefit. I prefer higher quality image instead. However if you are CS:GO or FIFA kaki , then there is a significant difference in gaming experience. The screen animation feels alot smoother and no screen tearing when actions are fast.
But then if you only opt for a gtx1050, i think 60hz is good enough. The GPU not very powerful Save you some money for more storage or RAM.

HI i bought the onyx recently like 2 day ago and i'm very new to owning a gaming laptop. Is it normal for the bottom side of the touchpad to be slightly raised?

The upper side of the keypad is firm within space whereas the bottom portion is elevated above the space. Is it normal? I apologize if my question may seem like nonsense but i would appreciate to hear from anyone regarding my question.Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

Hi Axellenix, kindly note that it is indeed normal for the bottom side of the touchpad to be slightly raised and malleable because of the 3-in-1 design of the hardware (scroll area, left-click button and right-click button), hope this helps! smile.gif

I have applied it for my macbook pro previously - snow white decal and few others. It's pretty simple and straight forward to apply. Heck , I've even applied decals on my car

To be fair, not all of us are blessed with non-bangku / rock steady hands. I know I'm not lol.

Personally, I DO cut and apply my own decal to my devices (both my Onyx and my Envy has stickers to "protect" the lid and palmrests), but yeah they don't look "pro" by any stretch of the imagination thanks to my completely zero artistic motor skills.

But yeah, you either have to just take it really slow and do it carefully with a squeegee of some sort (and a hairdryer on low for the corners) - or you can go the whole auto-vinyl / incredible shield way of using a sprayer with soapy water (though I have reservations regarding exposing any lappies to moisture of any sort so I never went that route).

Either way, as long as you take your sweet sweet time and don't rush, it should turn out fine as long as you're not too OCD about it. Otherwise, you can always go to MojoWraps or something and ask them if they do customs.

Illegear should provide this kind of wrapping service and make the laptop that we purchase look unique.

Hi, I found that my Onyx runs hot while gaming
Is it considered as normal as the CPU temperature goes to nearly 90ish or more than that while playing dota2? I just bought my Onyx 1month ago.. think that the thermal paste still new and workable.

i7-8750H? If yes then you must undervolt since the chip itself runs hot
