my galaxy 8800gts 320mb OC edition (550/900) can only do near 8000 mark in 3dmark06... hmmm, how can i push it slightly better??? my previous 7950gx did 8300+ w/o oc o... but 3dmark05 it beats my 7950gx2 a bit... i'm using winXP btw... (e6600 oc to 3.33ghz)

can i use NiBiTor to change the default setting for Min Cycle Fan Speed??? default is 60%... i wanna change it to 70%... coz if i set it to fixed speed of 100% using RivaTuner, it causes some noise... i never use NiBiTor b4 too... so ig got tips of how to utilise it is greatly welcome too... if cannot discuss here, then pls pm me if dun mind... tq...

may i ask what is the oc setting u guys use for 8800gts 320mb??? currently the 1 i bought is running at 550/900, factory oced... but it seems like almost at its limit with 900mhz at rams... what the rams speed u guys do usually??? it's running with stock cooler btw... anyidea, if any1 selling fans that can replace the existing crappy fan of the stock cooler??? like those use in artic cooling silencer...

i've picked the galaxy 8800gts 320mb oc edition coz it's oredi oced to 550/900 at default... if the price different isn't much then i guess the oced version is a better buy... but if price different is too much different then save ur bucks n buy the normal 8800gts...

viewsonic juz launch the vx2835... 28"... that should b more than nice coz it's 3ms respond time, 1920 x 1200... but isn't it a bit too big??? i think anything above 24 is sure too BIG for me (at the moment)...

fsp epsilon is a much cheaper solution for 8800gtx sli i guess... i has the sufficient 12v rail current n it falls at rm500+...

if planning for high end wc, tons of hdd n odd then maybe got to folk out rm1k for 1k psu lor... wah now psu oso rm1 for 1w...

i'll try the galaxy 8500ge 256mb ddr3 1.4ns tomolo n let u know...

the galaxy 8600gts oc version got zalman full copper hsf... with 1.0ns memory... good enuf???

arjuna, if u manage to buy a 2nd 8600gt at very very cheap price otherwise no point cause it's not cost effective leh...

wow, mine can only do near 9k on 3dmark06, e6600 std, gpu oc to 550/1800... but after oc to 400fsb not yet try, trying to solve heat problem of the proc 1st...

8800gts 320mb is sufficient to run games at 1680 x 1050 with all those eyes candies n u can hardly notice different of the 640mb version... i was shopping for a 640mb version b4 but after much reviews shown that ther's almost no performance different between 320mb n 640mb version at resolution upto 1680 x 1050... that's y i settle for 320mb version...

galaxy 8800gts 320mb oc version is running at 550/900... but i'm running it at 580/900 with chrader clock at 1350mhz...

galaxy has 2 variants of 8800gts 320mb oc n std... i'm running the oc version 550/1800 oced from factory...

the price different is not much, n u can only tell if it's pre-oc in rivatuner or other gpu tuning software...

me still using XP... 8800gts coz i wanna more fps in games n juz trying out the 80 series card...

all 8800 r reference cards... if can get palit get palit lor as long as ur local support for that brand is good enuf...

7900gtx + x2 3800 + abit fatality AN9-32X + no oc = around 6000 on 3dmark06...

u should check if maybe u need to reinstall driver or sort of..

i tried the beta nvidia driver 168.12 (XP) for my 8800gts (running 1680 x 1050) n i'm not so sure if the driver is the main problem but after i install dat driver, my card starting to gimme artifacts in games even CS 1.6... i can't even play age of empire 3... i've tried removing all gpu driver n reinstall but problem resist... i ran atitool scanner but no error n free from artifacts (scan for 560minutes = 9 hours +)...

*tips: when using 8800 series card(s), try use a card to seal the heat slots on the hsf near the end of the card to avoid heat from returning into pc case...

i'm using a8800gts, n were usign the latest beta 162.18 n it gave me some problems.. my games (age of empire III n lord of the ring) crash or can't start with error bla bla... even the atitool (0.27 beta 2) will crash 9hang + lots of artifacts) when showing 3d but i test run it with artifact scan, it's 100% ok for 8 hours... i play other games (gtr2, carbon, css) with max setting, no lagging, no hang n no artifacts... so i revert back to 158.22, problem still persist... so i formatted my hdd n reinstall everything (using atitool 0.26)... now it's ok... i wonder y that happen... there's no update for the games that i can faind to solve my problems.... any1 having some problem??

wahlau... the 7900gt super oc oso kena tahpau..! shawty play nothing to play, now play 8600gt??? i tried galaxy 8600gts in xp forgot what oc oredi but score roughly same result but slightly more, u can see SNOW...!!!

do u guys have any idea why does 8800gts produces tiny whistle sound when i run atitool??? my card is galaxy 8800gts oc editon (550/1800) 320mb... forceware 162.18... it can run games trouble free... funnily, i must do a little artifact scan using atitool if i wanna run the show 3d trouble free... if i run atitool show 3d straight it'll show artifacts n hang... any idea how to remove old driver cleanly n completely so i can reinstall new driver n try again???
