Same game assets, just plain improvement just from lighting. The last part in the car is really next generation difference.

If you read the comments on Reddit and YouTube and etc, it seems ray tracing is now a political feature . Anyone who talks about ray tracing gets labelled as Nvidia paid shills, because AMD told them it's not important.

There are actually people with 100+ upvotes accusing Digital Foundry of being paid by NVIDIA for making too many ray tracing videos.

AMD and the other YouTubers laughing to the bank with the gaming community

In case someone gets offended, I'm not being very serious ^

ive tried with negative setup before.. the temp will never be good.,, u need +ve airflow for the card to be stable...

With this case it seems that negative setup is better than positive.

Tested positive GPU air, results are even worse. Gonna check if the repaste is the cause.

positive will be better for VRM and PCB cooling. It could be possible that your version of gentle typhoon's 1850RPM is not strong enough.. especially if you connect the fans directly to your GPU.

Connected directly to motherboard fan headers. They aren't PWM so they should run at 1850rpm, as I didn't use any Noctua fan silencer cable extensions.

then you might need to check the gap.

Gap is around 2mm between heatsink and fan, so I doubt it's the cause either.

try to put some thick double sided tape at the bottom to raise the fans so it's flushed to your heatsink. Anyways, it's kinda expected 2X 120 should perform slightly weaker than 3X 92mm due to the slightly wasted static pressure... but noise will drop drastically.

I'm guessing so. Deshroud idea was modeled after another guy on the Internet that used a 2080Ti Strix in the same case.

Repasted with some NT-H1 lying around, if things don't improve I'll have to go back to the stock fans I suppose.

thing about RT is, will other studios put as much effort as CDPR to make RT a reality?

it'll be easier as time goes, nothing beats easier optimization when you can just brute force it via GPU power (future gpu performance upgrades)

We already brute forced rasterization 4K ultra settings, RT is the next step up to get vastly improved scenes without changing the game assets.

I hope so. To push for mass adoption, the consumers themselves need to be vocal. Unfortunately consumers today are influenced and form their opinions like zombies and sheeps by KOLs and YouTubers, who majority of them publicly admitting they don't give a shit about RT, because of reasons.

I'm also waiting for RT to be implemented in VR. Imagine half life Alyx with RT lighting. The immersion would be incredible (it already is really incredible)

So guys, im in need of help. I recently updated my gpu to the latest driver via geforce experience. So after the update, im having issues now randomly with my gtx 1080ti. WHen i start CSGO, in MSI afterburner my memory clock remains at 400Mhz, and that makes CSGO run at 30fps. And before that, i set my resolution in CSGO from Fullscreen to Fullscreen windowed. Seconds later I get a black screen and pink screen, im running 2 monitors. one get black screen, the other get pink screen. So how do I solve this issue? lol

Try a clean install or rollback? Heard stuff about new driver being unstable for 1080ti users on Reddit.

Yup freaking beauty. I also keep looking around during playing. Looking around the beauty of it and also can shortly rest when enjoying the scenery and building structure. Haha!
I think the previous console had not enough power to handle it, some more the developer already decided refund and this games is too buggy in PS4, I don’t see the reason why Sony not doing it. Even though this is rare case first time.

This games is so freaking famous now, I believe the developer will continue polish it like what they did in The Witches.

You missed out one point though. They purposely mislead people by not allowing anyone access to the console version until after they launched the game and have pocketed the money. Heck they didn’t even allow the reviewers to use their own footage and instead to use footage provided by cdpr for the pc version. No matter how you look at it that’s shady af. No one would rage if they just showed the performance on the base consoles before the game was launched. Now they elected to take the money then hope that gamers would just suck it up after seeing the performance on the base console instead of lashing out like this. No one expected the base consoles to run like ps5 but at least they expected the game to be playable since it was announced on their console and not garbage 15fps.

IMO if 3080/90 also cant run it properly 4K60 full effect, how do PS4/XB1 run it.
CDPR should be transparent about it, either tell ( before launch ) about last gen console's bad performance, or straight away cancel last gen version. As they already delayed till new gen console launched, just abandon old gen console.

What if, last gen version never exist, they got more time and resources to focus on PC and next gen console, it might able to launch itself as the new 'Crysis'.

That the probably reason now PS4 version is temp cancel, those buy can get refund and Sony already agreed with it and removed it from store as well.

It can be play without Ray Tracing tech, once turn on it is quite heavy, it not very playable also at PC using RTX 2080 card.

Indeed it look good when compare side by side like this but I doubt it will be very obvious during actual gameplay. I don't think I will be able to notice those different it they didn't do the side by side comparison.

Stay still at certain places for some time to look for different of rt on & off seem unlikely. It did look good from the video but I don't think the performance drop is worth it especially for fast pace game like this. Anyway it look good and thanks for sharing.

Well obviously but we all know what they chose to do instead. They must’ve thought gamers would just suck it up because cdpr has a reputation of being a gamer first company so gamers would be like oh well it’s fine they’re a good company so let’s just make the best of what we have lol. I wonder who on the management team decided on this decision lol.
