I remember anandtech claimed DLSS will nearly double the framerate of RT demo.

Below are guru3D's DLSS sample.

AT claims etc.. is with raytracing + DLSS doubled.. afaik

actually the issue with DLSS..

1. TAA has almost zero impact in performance
2. So the question is is the resolution being upscaled cleaned up etc.... example we set 4k.. set dlss..
so we are actually gaming 1080p or 1440p.. but its upscaled to 4k.. with some texture tech??

.. i dont ever remember TAA having any significant impact in games.

If i recall correctly, they demode Realtime Ray tracing only at 1080p at ~30fps, DLSS +RT at 4K60FPS is a pipe dream bro, at current state.

Yeh , just a simple assumption. If DLSS was really helpful and hopefully helpful for 4k 30fps ?.Nothing the less, not even games of benchmark can actually confirm since no RT , driver not polish yet and etc.

I don't know about AT but what they mention as if DLSS is future needless of AA gaming for 4k.But I doubt it will run well together with RT. At most 30fps for 4k?
DLSS is actually between non AA performance with Image quality below AA.

Other question aside , btw , someone ask me if getting a PI version or import version of 2080 which is cheaper by RM800.Will it still cover the warranty here ? such as EVGA.

i never TAA in final fantasy xv and monster hunter world because it made the image looked blurrier and in ffxv have ugly afterimages. DLSS seems to be looking great at when in motion and it still able to make textures look sharp. So good image quality with big performance boost.

strix was disappointing. msi trio seems to be the best atm.

looking for a version that has enough juice and got waterblock to keep it at 2100mhz

really hoping for asus to step up their game with poseidon
or might wait for msi ekwb series.

To me, its overpriced. Wait for the game actually supports it, then I'll decide. Don't want another PhysX.

How to check the card was being mining before.
As I know , there is no way to check and only by seller telling.
Ask the right questions. Often they will tell you how they use the cards, including gpu settings while mining. The pics of card their PC rig would also be a favourable clue that it is there for gaming mainly and not as part of a mining farm, but can be borrowed image from elsewhere. Also other tell-tale signs, but too many to explain here and not 100% foolproof. You just have to ask enough questions to satisfy yourself that the card is not over stressed, and still have warranty as backup.

Seems overpriced for the FPS it gains compared to the 10xx series hmm.gif Not exactly double as well. Maybe now is a good time to get some second hand 1080 TI at a lower price laugh.gif

Yup. GTX 1080 Ti is cheap. I'm skipping this gen though. Hopefully AMD has something to compete so Nvidia drops the price.

If you are still on 1080p 60Hz, then... sort of wasted. If you have 1440p 144Hz then ok
