If it's around 4k definitely will just get a 1080ti. If it's like 3k ok lagi, but lol don't think so.

1200usd.. founder and also 3rd party.. yet to see any at 1k usd from 3rd party in Newegg, for the 2080ti.

Will wait for the actual benchmark tbh. Nvidia avoiding most of the normal gaming aspect, and talking about RT. I'm more curious on how well current game runs instead of the raytracing stuff in games that isn't even out yet. If raytracing for games becomes a thing anyway, it will take a few years down the road. So by then a newer gen will be out.

Most likely the 1080ti will sell better than the 20 series. That crazy price hike, doesn't even seem worth the money. Waiting for reviews and benchmark

AMD cant keep up. Thats why. Nvidia has no reason to sell cheaper.

Well hoping AMD does surprise us next year then. If they pull a Ryzen i'd be really happy.

Yeah raytracing aside i'm more interested to know about current game benchmarks. Raytracing won't be supported for most games still, and it will take a while, so I'm not that interested yet.

Also isn't the raytracing tech on DXR? Basically it's universal no? Works on Vulkan too if anything. Or are you guys saying that Nvidia will have a version of their own.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider, RTX 2080Ti with max settings and ray tracing enabled, results? Fluctuations of 30-60fps at 1080p. Yup, 1080p.

While drivers are probably not matured enough yet, I doubt any "game ready" drivers will provide a significant boost either. This is why I said to keep expectations in check.

Totally not holding up to the price tag.

Really was aiming for 2080ti from 980ti, but yeah looking at the price just decided to go with 10 series for now. Could get around 3k or less for a 1080ti, where is a 2080ti would cost around double of the price. I just don't see how it will be worth it. Even considering using the 980ti still till the 30 series comes out lol.

For existing games, Turing will deliver 2x the performance and 4K HDR gaming at 60 FPS on even the most demanding titles.

So we can expect 2x performance (most likely compared to 1080) at 4K...  laugh.gif

Can belip or not...

Doubt it

Friend of mine pre-ordered 2x 2080ti.. when it arrives, plan to go to his place and see how the performance is.

Meanwhile I bought a used 1080ti yesterday after seeing the pricing of 2080ti lol

curious on how much you paid for the 1080ti
*
2.5k for the Asus Strix OC version. Quite ok I think considering it's harder to find used for that particular model.
Quite a lot of 1080ti selling around 2.3-2.6k atm. Can expect it to go 2k MYR a few months when the 20 series launches

Managed to sold my Asus Strix OC 980ti around 1.4k before the price drops even lower.

Wow that's a good price, where did you even find it?

From the seller that sold me his used 980ti 2 years ago. biggrin.gif
He saw my WTB thread and PM'ed me. Lucky because I really want the Asus Strix version, goes well with my ROG mobo.
Told him next tim 2080ti, can also sell to me brows.gif

3d modeler? I don’t know someone who would buy 2 2080ti when one 2080ti is overkill for 1440p 60Hz
