I got a brief sneak preview of a new ONEXOX mobile plan from one of the dealers while having a cuppa coffee. The dealer didn't want to say much details and only just touch here-n-there on the surface.

The dealer said it's not prepaid and it's not postpaid. The dealer said it's called Onexox Black and briefly showed me some scribbled notes on the subject matter.

No pricing was mentioned but something very interesting caught my ears. The dealer said, "Everything can be carried forward, minutes, sms and data. No data is wasted as EVERYTHING can be carried forward. Just wait for official product launch coming very soon."

The dealer didn't want to elaborate any more but his emphsis on the word "EVERYTHING" makes me wonder and so I asked uncle google about onexox black and found an old post on a site here:
http://www.onexoxonline.com/my/2017/11/10/...novasi-terkini/

Ok, lets make some simple educated guess. From my point-of-view, I believe that :

1. It's a hybrid prepaid-cum-postpaid mobile plan. Maybe something like previous XOX postpaid hybrid.

2. It will have similar onexox prepaid tariffs for calls and sms.

3. It will have season pass features as it allows sharing.

4. It can straight away use from data quota pool since all can be carried forward. No need to activate data plan? Very likely.

5. It will snowball unused monthly quota balance for calls, sms and data.

6. It will offer these plans: B10, B39, B59, B89 and B149 (ex: B39=RM39 package)

7. It will probably be some sort of advanced payment plan (ie. pay in advance like prepaid and later get billed for any extra usage like postpaid ...)

8. It will be contract free and GST inclusive.

Now have to wait and see if what I guessed so far is right or wrong. One thing is for sure, ONEXOX likes to make plans with twist and turns and then XOX will gimmick the heck out of it.

Official launching date is said to be very very soon ... next week? next month?

I had a brief encounter with ONEXOX BLACK in action ... (yes, I did ask the dealer nicely over a cuppa coffee)

If exceeded the 20 minutes then pay per use calls/sms is charged as per tariff below.

Tariffs:
Calls are 15 sen/ minute @ 30 seconds block to all networks (7sen first 30 seconds + 8 sen next 30 seconds like DA)
Sms is 10 sen per sms to all networks.

Onexox Black can buy daily season pass and happy hour season pass .... but not season pass plus.

Onexox prepaid calls it season pass counter ... Onexox Black calls it Black counter.

Black counter minutes is 30 seconds block, so your minute counter can have a 0.5 minute balance.

Also confirmed, data is straight away deducted from black counter. No need to subscribe to any plan. If you have 50GB in your Black counter you can suck the whole thing dry in a day ... or you can use just 100MB this month and the rest carried forward to next month. There is a 100GB maximum limit imposed for data carry forward.

Onexox Black is a hybrid prepaid+postpaid plan apparently. You pay in advance and the amount becomes your credit limit. You can only make calls, sms and subscribe to season pass depending on your credit limit (advanced payment).

It's hybrid thingy .... so there is no expiring validity and no data plan to subscribe .... but there is bill to pay every month and the advanced payment is treated as your credit limit ... ex: B39 = RM39 credit limit for the month ... if your calls+sms exceeded RM39 then it is barred from making calls until you topup more credit (yeah, can buy topups) .... laugh.gif ...

I'll stay with prepaid lar and dont have to worry to pay bill every month. It is also possible to just topup 6x RM39 and not to worry about the bill for 6 months ..... but why would I want to do that ?

The only real difference with onexox black is the data usage method and the maximum 100GB total carry forward limit (yes, there is no limit to onexox prepaid season pass balance).

I guess you'll then have to subscribe for another pass, unless there are add-on packs to buy somewhere...?

Looks a little ohmy.gif to me, having to buy a new pass monthly while being able to carry forward leftovers. Some users may eventually end up with more and more data through the months... hmm.gif Got to be careful which pass you choose then.

Ok, based on info given to me, this is how it works ...

Let's say you subscribed to B39 plan, so you pay RM39 upfront. This advanced payment is kept on-hold in your account and also becomes your usage credit limit. Your B39 plan quota is 6GB data, 50 minutes and 50 sms. If you finishes your 50 minutes quota, further usage will be charged 15sen/minute (all net, 30 secs block, 7sen + 8sen). If you finishes your 50 sms quota, further usage will be charged 10sen/sms (all-net). If you finishes your data quota then it is hard blocked and no pay-per-use.

If your chargeable usage exceeds your credit limit of RM39 then all outgoing call/sms is blocked (similar to zero credit in prepaids). In this case, you can make a topup of any amount to increase your usage credit limit or topup the required amount to purchase a Season Pass of your choice (SP daily or SP happy hour only).

Whatever quota balance that you may still have will snowball to next month. There is a 100GB data rollover maximum limit (including new monthly quota) but no limit for minutes and sms.

biggrin.gif

I was listening to the explanations while watching astro movies so I may hit-or-miss a few things. ok ? and yes, of course the dealer was sure hoping that I would COBP (change of business plan) to Black .... hahahaha ... I just told him that Black is not suited for me .....

Just recovered from very unusual port in from redone amazing28 to black b10. First 24 hours, I couldn't send or receive sms properly.

Checked with some dealers who couldn't help me. Dialed in to service center but those nice and patient guys also couldn't help me.

It was only after a complete 24 hours cycle give or take 8 hours ( sleeping). That now I have full capabilty.

So, only word of advice that I can offer is that we port in when we have 24 hours where we don't need to receive or send any Smses. This means no TAC required activity, no self purchase or self top up and so on

Over all, it is a nice plan...

Words of warning. The plan is so new that

1) the information written on the sim card can be wrong.
2) the service guy in the help line could be wrong, one example is that the service guy told me that I cannot check balance by sending "BAL" to 22111 ( for black) but in fact you can.
3) Dealers keep saying wrong things. One time saying we cannot buy season pass then saying we can.

Finally cleared some confusions with the Facebook Onexox

1) Black cannot share credit.
2) Black does not have FnF services because call rates and sms are the same as other numbers. Funny thing is, I managed to submit 5 smile.gif , so system is still not finalise?
3) One more question not answered yet though, I couldn't redeem loyalty points through the standard system sms. If we cannot redeem lyt points for sms, then what is it for?

Just sharing with those who don't know..

Ok bro ... first, why did you go for onexox B10 ? Maybe because you think its cheap at RM10 monthly with 1GB data + 20 minutes calls ?

A simple calculation for the next six months:
1. you pay RM10 every month or you can pay one-shot upfront RM60
2. B10 x 6 months = RM60 and you get total 6GB data and 120 minutes calls
3. The only advantage is the data quota is usable directly without having to activate as monthly plan
4. However, you must pay your bills monthly or in advance

Compare to a onexox prepaid for the same RM60:
1. You already get 28 months validity when you mnp
2. RM60 can get you SP Plus 60 = 7GB data + 383 minutes + 50 sms
3. When you topup RM60, you get additional 60 days validity and it becomes 30 months total
4. However, the season pass quota must be activated as monthly plan for internet access.

The dealers here told me that the B10 is intended for sub-lines where the principal line can share out their data+minutes+sms to their sublines ....

It made sense for B10 as sub-lines because B10 only allows RM10 credit limit .... so if you register for kids use then they cannot simply buy season pass or make calls/sms more than the credit limit ...

Between onexox prepaid and onexox black, I will stay with the prepaid plan for the long validity + topup only when needed + season pass plus + a bunch of other reasons ...

Thanks bro.

I am still trying to figure this out and you just confirmed another fact to me, that the b10 is for sublines.

The thing that attracted me about black is the no burn feature and the no need to activate data feature.

Actually, if there was another plan between B39 and B10, I would have taken it, as my data usage is somewhere between 2gb-4gb a month, with some calls and sms. So that I can share what ever data I accumulate with my prepaid line.

Right now, I have topped up my B10 with 10gb of data,, sms and calls up to 50. So let's see what is my sweet spot?

Once I get over the hype of the no burm and get use to activation of data, I just go back to prepaid.

Appreciate your clear explanation, that no dealer can or bothered to give.

I really dislike this statement in the T&C

ONEXOX BLACK “BURN-PROOF” carry-forward will be available for a limited period only and XOX MOBILE reserves its right to withdraw the ‘Carry Forward’ offer at any time without advance notification or advertisement and without any liability in connection therewith.

Doesn't feel comfortable to mnp to commit to the higher data volume and higher priced plans.

Finally someone noticed the so called BURN PROOF carry forward TnC .....

That's SOP for telco to cover their back from getting bitten later on .... laugh.gif

I did tell you that I read most of the articles on line... But I only read this after jumping to black.

For me it's fine, I will just swtich back to normal prepaid.. but as for my wife.. I am still wondering as she will have to mnp to b39...

First time I have ever read a T&C though... Wondering about the other telcos, now.. but OneXOX used the word forever shamelessly... And we promise...very sad...

Asshole so call "BURN PROOF" statement.
Might as well stick to normal prepaid Season Data...more safer.

It's ur right. Btw black doesn't have contract.

Fyi, after 4 years as user at onexox, I don't have bad experience with onexox in term of suddenly changing t&c

No changes until now:
-28 months validity
-10 fnf

Rate also become cheaper

Before: MA rate was 32 cent, now is 24 cent
Before Standard data plan 1GB was RM36 now RM3 (daily) / RM15 (monthly)
Before we have no season pass, now we have ( can enjoy cheaper rate call as low 9 cent per min, 1GB as low RM5 compared to standard rate and can carry forward)
Before 1GB Season Pass Happy Hour was RM10, now RM5
Before cannot buy validity, now can.
Before UGU was 5%, now increased to 6%

With this trend I'm confident onexox will not change the t&c / plan which make onexox reputation become bad

Thanks, I really hope so. Having no contract doesn't really give a company the right to misuse words like forever and promise like that, though.

Anyway, the black plan fails there is still prepaid, I guess. I don't feel like l changing telcos anymore.

Well, you can share with Black account, so you can buy a SP with your prepaid balance and then share the data, mins and sms with the black.

I have both, so I bought a SP plus with my prepaid and shared some mins and sms to my black account.

Hello there !

Changing from Onexox prepaid to Onexox black for the first time, you are required to make full payment for the first time subscription. Your existing DA+MA balance will become onexox black credit (Amount due will show minus balances).

Thank you.

For mnp, bank TAC will restore in about 1-3 working days. You can also try re-register the same number at the atm or call bank customer service to update new telco. In the meantime, can topup with onexox dealer, phone shop e-reload, 7-11, supermarket or petrol station.

Onexox black is a so-called hybrid prepaid+postpaid plan. You pay upfront for your monthly quota, it also have pre-fixed credit limit, no validity and have monthly commitment.

Ok, then it should be onexox prepaid. Verification for mnp: http://xox.com.my/onlinestore/mnp/mnp_verification.php
enter your serial number carefully. only 011 can have 8 digits entry.

After you have successfully completed mnp, you can change to onexox black by calling CS at 12273 or do it from the selfcare website.

Hi all, a few questions
1. I read in FAQ that if user runs out of date before the end of the cycle, he can purchase Add On. But if I have data balance in SP, how will this data be utilised? Will it be deducted as we use until the next cycle kicks in?

2. The FAQ says prepaid users will need to make a pre-payment of the monthly bill upon signing up. However, in the Black SMS upgrade FAQ, it says the pre-payment can be deducted from our pre-paid credit. So, if I upgrade via SMS, no need to pay cash and it will deduct from my prepaid account?

5 ways to change from onexox prepaid to black

1. do it from selfcare website
2. call 12273
3. do it with onexox dealer
4. do it at xox service center
5. use sms command (check out the official FAQ)

simcard replacement can only get from onexox dealer or xox service center. Some dealer now seems to have 3-in-1 replacement sim. Sure have nano sim at service center. Cost rm10.00 for replacement sim.

1. Onexox black don't have any data plan. If you have SP balance in prepaid then it will carry into black SP counter and you can straight away use it ..... Can suck it dry if you really want to by streaming HD.

2. I also just checked out the FAQ. I think the sms upgrade is a new option to change from prepaid to black. It says pre-payment will be deducted from existing credit balance. If this is true then life will be a lot easier ...

What I meant by the data plan is the 1Gb data for the RM10 plan. You see, I intend to do MNP for my elderly relative who stays in kampung with her wife. Low data usage and the prepaid XOX plan, while is good, is a hassle as I will need to monitor for them the data usage.

When I first ported to a new telco (can't remember whether it's from DG to U, or U to XOX) I could not receive any TAC from Maybank. I called up the bank customer service and was told we need to re-inform the bank of the change in service provider even though the number is the same. After that, it was smooth sailing.

Strange thing is when my wifey ported to XOX, she called up MBB to do the updating and the CSO informed her nowadays no longer need to update the name of service provider. You may want to call your bank.

Don't quite understand the bold part. Your last statement says can receive sms from another number, the first section of the bold part says you can't receive from your other XOX number.

Yea, I know what you're asking but again I say, onexox black don't have data plan to sub. The B10 plan gives you monthly 1GB season pass black. The data in SP black can straight away use, no need to sub any monthly plan. Balance carry forward up to 100GB max as long as you pay your bill.

Choice is yours ...

For onexox black, you can pre-pay rm120 for one year of B10 plan, so every month get allocation of 1GB data + 20 minutes. Total 12GB + 240 minutes. No hassle for you to monitor for 12 months.

For onexox prepaid, mnp to get 28 months validity then add 10GB SP data + 333 minutes. Set monthly data at 500mb auto renew and you no need monitor for 20 months.

If register as sub-line then easy to check balance. Where got hassle ?

This is normal ... some people are lucky can use TAC within the hour ... some unlucky only working 1 or 2 or 3 days later ... the TAC gateway is handled by 3rd party ok ?

Thank you for the clarification on the black B10 plan. Nice to know that the SP will be used straight away without having to re-subscribe like the xox prepaid if he finishes his 1Gb quota for the month (maybe salah click on youtube or fb video link). It's already cheaper than the RM20 2Gb high speed internet he is subscribing on his xpax, which does not include voice call.

If you're still stuck at the verification page, you can also try to verify using MyXOX app from playstore.

I asked a dealer at my place here and was informed that if you haven't done mnp verification online then you can also ask any onexox dealer to submit your mnp request. No need to pay extra and can use the existing mnp sim. Maybe you want to look around your area for onexox dealer ?

If you're still stuck at the verification page, you can also try to verify using MyXOX app from playstore.

I asked a dealer at my place here and was informed that if you haven't done mnp verification online then you can also ask any onexox dealer to submit your mnp request. No need to pay extra and can use the existing mnp sim. Maybe you want to look around your area for onexox dealer ?

You can convert any onexox prepaid to onexox black yourself by using sms command. Refer to the first post of this thread.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to convert to black? Is it the zero wastage? After one month on black, as well as normal prepaid, that's the only benefit I see. Savings is less on black.

I am on the fence now.... 1 month ago.. I am all for black...

Now waiting for a sms command to switch to prepaid...wink.gif

The advantage of onexox black :

1. No need to subscribe to data plan to use season pass quota and carry forward upto 100GB max.
2. Minutes is deducted using 30 seconds block (prepaid is 1 minute block)

IMHO, if need more than 4GB monthly and/or more than 60 minutes usage monthly then onexox black can stretch your data/voice usage longer. Only that one must pay monthly commitment with onexox black.

If you use much much less then prepaid is better. Long validity with reasonable data/call rate with season pass.

Cheapest data for prepaid is actually rm2.50 for 500mb for 30days. That is when you buy Season Pass 10gb for rm50

Even cheaper if you buy SP Plus... you get 50 mins and 50 sms on top of the 10gb!!

For onexox prepaid, the 10GB season pass quota follows account validity (ie. SP expires when account expired) ...

So, with onexox prepaid, you pay upfront RM60 (simpack + SP FAT10) ... First month, you get free 10GB to use then 2nd month onwards you can subscribe to 1GB/30days data plan and the system will automatically deduct the quota from your existing SP balance first. If you do not finish the 1GB within the 30 days period then the balance is forfeited upon renewal of the same 1GB/30days plan. 10GB SP will last you 10 months and the cost of 1GB = RM5 ...

For a 10 month period with 1GB/month data quota, the actual cost for onexox prepaid is RM50 while the actual cost for onexox black is RM100.

To decide which is more suitable really depends on one's requirement and usage pattern.

If you are a low data user and struggle to even finish 3gb a month. Face it you won't benefit from the SPFAT10+10. The first 10gb will just burn off.

Might as well top up to get the 28 months validity and buy the Spplus30 with auto renewal for a few months and gradually withdraw until you hit your sweet spot of data usage..

Yes, new simpack is RM10. Another RM50 is for reload right after registration. After reloading, you subscribe to SP FAT10 to get immediate 28 months validity + 10GB SP + 10GB free data plan for 1 month.

The 10GB Season Pass costs RM50 to subscribe so, 1GB = RM5 ... ok ? If not enough SP data, you can also buy some more during happy hour or from the daily season pass.

Whenever you topup, your validity will be extended ... ex: if you topup another RM50 to buy data during happy hour, your validity will also be extended by another 50 days ... yes, any new validity you acquire is added to the end of existing validity ...

If you almost reach 28 months then you can topup RM25 to buy 1 year validity @ RM25 ... if you want more then you can buy more validity to add to existing validity ...

So, you probably will ask if can change from black to prepaid ? .... Yes, you can ... but I was told that one will get zero validity + zero SP balances (all forfeited). So I guess its best to get a new simpack since changing black to prepaid then one will have to start from zero ......

As I mentioned previously, it all depends on one's usage pattern and requirements ....

One thing about onexox, it works best when you have multiple numbers/sim. I have one black and one prepaid. I purchased SP plus for the prepaid to share data with my black.

hi all, thinking of switching over to Black, but wanted to understand more first:

Q1a. how much do I need to pay for a starter pack if I am going for B10?
Q1b. how long is the default validity from the starter pack?
Q1c. and every month how much do I need to pay?

Q2a. for B10, I will get 1GB of data per month, so if I cannot finish the 1GB of data, it will be carried forward to the following month until I finish it?
Q2b. Do I need to pay anything extra other than the amount from Q1?

Q3a. for B10, if I finish the 1GB of data before the cycle date, can I top up the data again?
Q3b. if yes, what are the options for the top up?

A1a. Pay RM10 for B10 ... that's it ... I was told that's the total B10 sign-up payment ...
A1b. no validity ... it's like postpaid
A1c. monthly bill RM10 minimum

A2a. All black quota can carry forward ... If you have balance then it will bring forward to next month
A2b. No if you use less than monthly 1GB + 20 minutes. Yes if you need more data and/or minutes

A3a. Add more data quota by purchasing season pass
A3b. Topup or payment using normal topup channel ie: dealer, 7-11, epay, petrol station, etc

Go read some more ... onexox have 2 different product:
1- onexox prepaid = long validity + topup only when required
2- onexox black = hybrid postpaid/prepaid + monthly commitment

MNP to OneXOX is the same with any other telco. Submit your mnp request through a dealer or on the online store.

The thing is that the mnp sms confirmation uses telco's internal system number ex: Maxis 20025 or Celcom 28882 ... so that the sms may be able to receive but you may not be able to reply ... maybe depends on the roaming partner ... I was told of a case whereby someone on a working trip to Thailand was able to reply the mnp request from U to onexox ... YMMV ...

I was told that the only way to directly terminate onexox black is to fill up the termination request form and submit to any onexox black dealer or service centre.

There are also two indirect way:
1. convert to onexox prepaid and leave it to expire (I believe in 90 days)
2. mnp out to another telco but do not activate and leave it to expire (should be between 14 to 30 days)

If you are in Singapore, your MNP will not successful process.
The MNP SMS must be done during you are in Malaysia. It will automatic reject if you are in roaming state.

Previously I got done before when I was in Brunei, the MNP process unable to successful.
Only when there is no choice during in Malaysia, the MNP process has been done and successfully switch.

Hope this information will useful for you.

Arhh.. shocking.gif It seems like there is a blackhole inside T&C for this.
Then if I use another method,

oneXOX Black > other telco (such as DiGi, maxis) > oneXOX prepaid.

Will this can done to get 28 months validity? I understand there is cooling period after switch to another telco, but OK for it as long as to get 28 months validity.

Any suggestions?

oneXOX Black > other telco (such as DiGi, maxis) > oneXOX prepaid.

Will this can done to get 28 months validity? I understand there is cooling period after switch to another telco, but OK for it as long as to get 28 months validity.

Any suggestions?
*
I believe this can work ..... so far the ones I've heard/seen those who port out from onexox and then later came back got their 28 months validity was using other telco issued numbers (012, 013, 014 etc) ... YMMV ...

*
i have ported out few times successfully while abroad. replying to the sms will incur roaming charges.

if you don't want to pay roaming charges, find a place in singapore that has signal from malaysia.

Are you sure? I try more than 3 times already during abroad. But no reply sms from digi to confirm port out, somemore no roaming charges of the SMS. End up digi automatic reject to release me due to "did not reply any sms" to confirm switch out from digi...

Or is it maybe the oversea country does not allow for MNP but only accept for Singapore?
Something weird.. hmm.gif

i have done many times, even once from nepal. sms is still sms. every sms sent is first routed to the telco's dedicated sms gateway even when you are abroad. even short code sms work when abroad.

Do you know how the MNP process works for OneXOX?
I'm based in Singapore and tried to do the MNP from Maxis to UMobile before, I never received the MNP sms once I get back to SG  sweat.gif
Wonder if there's any way to port out without waiting in Malaysia for the sms which might take days
*
maxis is a classic case. often they play punk and don't send you confirmation sms. if you complain to their cs, they will give lots of lame excuses.

nothing to do with roaming or not.

I am having issue paying using Self-Care because cannot received TAC. My OneXOX Black number is not MNP (its a new registered SIM from XOX).

Can anyone here help? Thank you.

Update: I solved it by calling the customer service to track the TAC.

brunei? why on earth would i want to go there? smile.gif)

also, there are many places in singapore that you can receive malaysian signal and indonesian too. brunei isn't that huge. bsb is only 2km from the border. if you must connect to home network, just go closer to the border...unless you live out in the ocean smile.gif

Can this B10 plan get roaming when I am in Singapore and receive TAC as usual? Anything I should do to activate this roaming?

Thinking of MNP from umobile to B10.

Also, for season pass and happy hour if I cannot finish it within a month, will it be carried forward too?

If mnp to onexox and take the 24month validity + season pass plus
After the 8month period im back to Malaysia. Do i need to topup to activate my simcard. Or i can use straight away  my simcard with season pass plus that i subscribe 8month ago.?
*
u may mnp to onexox prepaid as you will get 28 months validity

season pass also will be valid up to 28 months if not being used

if you need long validity + no commitment better choose onexox prepaid

season pass pluss no longer available for new user, only normal season pass & season pass happy hour still available

onexox black for those dont want to wait season pass happy hour & can commit on monthly fees (like postpaid)

thinking of getting XOX Black B10 plan for my car gps tracker, I noticed there is no sms included. So if I reload Rm15 per month, it will deduct accordingly from Rm5 if let's say the gps tracker device sent me the sms with the location of my car?

Correct?

I received a sms saying that I have activated 1 day internet pass with 500MB while I was roaming with Singapore network M1.

I searched in XOX portal but cannot find any thing similar to this but I found it on Celcom portal instead. Celcom portal says it is RM38/day. Since XOX is using Celcom network, it is treated the same too?

I did not turn on International Data Roaming option on my phone yet I still receive this SMS. Selfcare did not show such item yet.

Anybody had face this problem before?

Can anyone advise me on how much will it be and what should I do to get it waved should it incurred in my upcoming bill? Call CS?

Spoken to CS yesterday, he told me data roaming is till under testing period.

I had been charged for RM 38/day/500mb data roaming charge into my bill.

I believe this amount is based on Celcom data roaming charges as XOX is base on their network.

He will help me to submit a report for this and I was told that I am not the first one.

Let throw spanner into the work.

I have had this issue since my 3rd bill. XOX just cannot figure things out. The amount payable are wildly different when compared in statement against on the web.

This is happening to 2 MSISDNs under me. Both accounts experienced this issue.

I have called them more than 2 months ago to get true reflection on which amount I have to pay, and was advised back then to use the figure stated on the web, not statement.

Earlier, I have sent an email to selfcare@, where I have tabulated the charges vs payment and payable balances for both my accounts, asking them to get things sorted out because I cannot carry on being confused with which amount to trust XOX with.

And an hour ago, the latest bill for one of the accounts arrived. This has gone too far when I received a new bill today slapping me with additional RM78 adjustment that I have yet to learn the why - hint: they are adjustments without any line item to explain where they came from. Another email to selfcare@ with specific issue regarding this specific statement vs web for this specific account.

I'll let screenshots do the "talking" of the confusion I am in.

Just started using Black since early this month. Totally worth it as I am using B10 package for Grab Driver App. However, i need top up extra and the plan will automatically deduct RM10 every month? Or do i need to top up and manually subscribe every month? I am confused with this part.

You can pay monthly when the bill arrives or you can just reload enough for six months and relax (every month auto deduct for bill).

No need to subscribe to anything if the monthly allocation suffice (1GB + 20 minutes) ... maybe if you need more data or minutes then you may want to reload to buy during happy hour ...

Hello everyone !

The 6% SST charges is applicable to ONEXOX BLACK monthly bill beginning 1st September 2018.

However, ONEXOX Black subscribers will be given a rebate in the form of minutes.

The rebate minutes formula = ( subscriber Black Plan x 0.4 ), for example:

a) For B10, 10 x 0.4 = 4 minutes.
b) For B59, 59 x 0.4 = 23.6 and will be rounded up to 24 minutes.

Please call CS @ 12273 should you require further clarification.

Thank you.

Hi, I was thinking of changing from umobile to onexox,
2 questions:
1) can I keep my old number?
2) oversea partner for roaming like umobile?

Since onexox is using celcom infra, is their coverage and service on par with celcom?

Yes you can. Call CS to make the request. Bear in mind that all credit and SP balance will be forfeited. Don't forget to confirm with CS how many days validity they will give when change to prepaid.

I think the best plan is XOX black 39 plus 20. U get 12gb, unlimited call, 100sms for just rm59. Plus they riding on Celcom network.

Is your umobile prepaid or postpaid? It depends on what you need.

If you want prepaid then onexox prepaid mnp gives long validity and use season pass to save money .... if you want postpaid then check out B39plus20 with unlimited calls ...

I was told that the B10 was originally intended for sub-lines. Somehere along the line B10 became useful for low usage users and in my fren's case as family car hotspot. After some consideration, he did precisely the above. He got a prepaid + sp fat10m (10gb+333m) then immediately change to B10. His hotspot requirement is roughly 5GB monhtly, so he buys happy hour deals to topup ...

The difference is in how data is consumed. For prepaid, you must activate a data plan to get internet access. For black, internet access is available until black data sp counter depleted ..... so unused black data is carried forward and not forfeited.

So, it all depends on what you need it for.

You should stick with onexox prepaid ... get sp fat10m (10gb+333minutes) and 28 months validity ... if you activate 1GB data plan then your 10GB season pass will last 10 months ... if 2GB data plan then it will last 5 months ... please read up on how Season Pass works and stay happy ...

Onexox black is like postpaid ... have mobthly bills ... no 28 months validity ... so, onexox black may not be suitable for you ...

the activated data (which taken from season pass) will last for 1 month.

you have 3 choices (out of 5) which one you want activate; 500MB, 1GB, 2GB..

let say on MARCH, you activated 500MB. but it finished before end of march and you need additional data. so, you can activate again, ie 500MB, on MARCH.

go to fb, search group 'Soal jawab onexox'..you are going to enjoy onexox

just mnp to black on yesterday, but my phone model doesn't support esim

since black is quite some time in the market, well known with its burnproof
but in all its t&c, q&a, discussions, just mentioned that max accumulate quota for data is 100gb
how about the max quota for call minutes and sms? or no limit?

Only data have maximum limit of 100GB quota. I was told it was a requirement limit set by MNO celcom.

You can carry forward unlimited amount of minutes and sms.

no limited carried forward data for xox prepaid.

I have 2 numbers, black and prepaid.
Let say my black have 97gb data. I want to purchase 10gb cheap data. just using prepaid number to buy the data.
next time, I can share data from my prepaid to black.

1. Data consumed depends on phone apps background data ... mine configured for frugal use and apps data consumed very little monthly.

2. Bank TAC for mobile banking works fine ... call CS if something is not working ...

ONEXOX or ONEXOX Black better? I am currently a user of Celcom basic RM38. I hate the fact that I need to pay extra now that their 50 minutes to all telco has been changed to calls to celcom only.
To port out, is it I register with xox first or I go inform celcom first?
My bill cycles ends at 7th, and renew on 8th of the month. But bills always comes out like 1 week after as well...

To choose between the two is easy:

1. Onexox is prepaid. If you want the long 28 months validity then go for this and use Season Pass to save money. The season pass minutes is to all networks and all season pass balances (data/minutes/sms) does not expire.

2. Onexox black is like postpaid (monthly bill + SST). You pay for data, minutes + sms and yet all balances are carried forward.

Recommend to mnp out 2-5 days before your bill cycle. If it goes through then all is fine but is it gets rejected for whatever reason then you could miss the bill cycle (unless you don't care about the billing). Just pay your usual monthly bill amount (can check with OCS) and then find a onexox dealer near you to submit your mnp.

Thank you for advice. Due to no more 50minutes free to all telco, my monthly bills has not been consistent. Sometimes few cents sometimes rm1 - rm2 more... With MNP hard to tell who is celcom who is not.

riding on celcom infra. means coverage and speed will be similar as celcom.

benefit will be no burn data, min, sms. everything unused will be carry forward forever as long line is active (limit to 100gb for data, no limit for call n sms).

there also a season pass that we can buy at cheaper rate.

Since validity can easily be extended on OneXOX prepaid, and you can purchase Season Pass where the data, minutes and SMS won't expire and burn off, then how would XOX or you guys, convince me to choose XOX Black over OneXOX prepaid lol?

Cuz it seems that I can save more money on OneXOX prepaid rather than XOX Black, since I can extend validity easily after 28 mths? The obvious advantage I see on XOX Black is I can pretty much choose not to bother about monthly payment anymore on XOX Black plans (B10, B39, etc.) if I sign up auto debit for XOX Black.

On OneXOX, you can park your data without being burned off but once you subscribe to it, have to utilise in a month. Black i like coz can carry forward. I got RM10 package for second line, so far accumulate till 5gb and 187 minutes coz i dont use it so much. Atleast its not burned off.

This. plus the hassle u need to activate data each time u want to use or when the active data depleted when u are in the midde of something (downloading/streaming).

if not mistaken, the call block also measure differently. black is much more save.

Hi guy, I just wondering... Whether can change plan from Black to onexox prepaid plan?

Wanna to try this Black plan to old folks with using less data (just to receive whatapps and browsing less than 30 minutes facebook).

But in the future the old folk feel no using data, is it possible can change plan from black to onexox prepaid?
Will the accumulate data and call as well as sms quota will forfeited?

in the FAQ, i only found prepaid upgrade to black plan but not the other way round.
http://xox.com.my/support/terms-and-condit...nexox-black-tc/

anyway, since black is contract free, you should be able to do that. call the support to confirm.

I am now using celcom blue 2 and i wish to port in to xox black, any dealer here can help?

my celcom billing date shud be 28/4, when is the best period to pay and port in to xox black coz if I pay after 28/4 will be another month of bill cycle d.

Can anyone share me the experience?

just port in yourself, why need dealer? apply through website and get the SIM card first.
https://xox.com.my/onlinestore/mnp/portinginfo_black.php

as long as your outstanding bill is ZERO, you'd have no issue to port over. i ported over from celcom 1 week before billing date with zero outstanding bill, no charge for the following month. login to celcom website and it's nothing there since my number have been port over to onexox. no email billing in the following mth from celcom also.

Via dealer is better, they will do everything until success/ follow up if mnp failed

About Onexox Data roaming.
FAQ writes
What are the rates for Data Roaming?
*Data Roam 38
You will be charged at RM38 for every 500MB consumed. at https://xox.com.my/xox-data-roaming/

but also writes RM38/day

soooo.. which is which?

what if I don't finish the 500mb in 1 day? burn?

I am on black..

Hmmm ..... this seems to be the same celcom xpax data roaming option ... apparently its a subscription of Rm38 for 500MB per day ending at 12am midnight like xpax data roam ... more like an extension of xpax data roam for onexox hahaha ...

I think its better to get other sim for data roam ... but having the data roam option for whatever reason is still better than nothing ...

Hi planning to mnp to esim xox black

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4018918/+4660

I research few posts and found out there are some problems for activating iMessage and FaceTime. May I know if it is fixed.
And there will be a charge for activation or every time we use iMessage or FaceTime?

Anyone can share the procedures with the following MNP plan:

U-Mobile P+2sup

to XOX
Principal - prepaid
2 Sup - prepaid

It is better to do online or via dealer?

It's quite straightforward ... change the 2 sup line to main line ... pay current bill ... find a dealer near you to mnp to onexox prepaid for all lines ...

get dealer to do it for you bcoz its easier to resubmit should there be any issue ... after mnp is done, you can link the 2 lines as sublines to the first number.

AFAIK, iMessage and facetime works fine with onexox .. its only that activation sms is chargeable every time you do a new login. Apple does not have agreement with onexox to waive the sms activation ...

Only login sms is the issue ... usage is not an issue bcoz you'll be using internet for data comms ...

Yes it will remain. It won't be forfeited. You can upgrade/downgrade to any Black plans, anytime you like.
Any new plan changes will only start effect on the next bill cycle.

Just read through this thread. Looks interesting. I am using celcom gold. 10gb all day, 10gb weekend at 2.5gb per week. Sometimes, my usage is more than 10gb, sometimes need to wait weekend only can use internet. Black look good, but b39plus50 give 20gb which is more expensive than my current plan. Any workaround if I want to mnp to black?

Hi all,
I’m newbie on this therefore hope that all of u can share experience. Normally when it come to telcos I always go for the big 3 but since I’ll pass the prepaid to my daughter, therefore would to try out other telcos

So I’m comparing tune vs umobile vs redone vs xox vs yoodoo in terms of connectivity, stability & prepaid benefits.

So far I heard a lot of complaints from customers bout umobile but not the rest therefore would like to know others as well.

Appreciate your feedback yah

I just done porting of my mom's Hotlink to this new OneXOX Black . Took the B10 RM 10 plan since she only needs 1GB just to Whatsapp outside the house.
Initially wanted to go for Redone RM 8 plan but quite difficult to locate its dealer so I decided to port into this OneXOX.

Speaking about UMobile, it depends on area, but where I am staying right now in Subang Jaya (only my area where I am staying), the download speed is horrible. Even Youtube 240P can buffer very frequently. But other places is okay. So if you want to Cuba Try Umobile, better try their 1 week trial or buy a prepaid or see if any of your friend are on UMobile.

Im also using TuneTalk for myself. Which is also MVNO under Celcom. In fact so far I am generally satisfied with Celcom. In fact download speed for Celcom where I am staying , is way faster than crappy 4G Umobile, even in just 3G mode (for Celcom).

So for my Umobile port out, still contemplating either port in to YooDoo (since I need lots of Data) or Digi. Or Celcom Gold plan. Maxis? Too expensive.

Depending on your mum's usage, XOX Black might be a better choice for your mum compared to redONE because you can carry forward unused data and minutes from the B10 plan, although it's RM2 extra from redONE's RM8 plan.

If you never experience Digi's network for a long time or never try before, perhaps you can consider try it. And how much GBs you need per month? And what's your budget?
If you're not sure, you can check your data usage in your phone. Example: Settings>Data usage OR Settings>Wireless and Internet>Data usage

Yeah. luckily I discovered ONEXOX. for a mere Rm 2 extra is worth it. able to carry forward data plus 20 mins of talk time which I doubt she will hardly use either one - Because home already got Unifi plus free 600 mins talktime from Unifi.
Reason I change is because she is fed up of reloading up just to keep her Hotlink validity active and after a while she stop reloading ; she don't even subscribe to any data plan just to drain off excess credit and hardly make calls.

So this ONEXOX 1gb plan will be sufficient. She don't even know how to use Youtube (but Fb, yes. one in a while)
First time I told her I will change to ONEXOX she was like "Ha? What company is this ah? I never heard before. Maxis Celcom Digi I got hear before la". Haha.

Okay regarding about myself and Umobile - Yes my wife is using Digi. so I sometimes borrow her phone just to YouTube and I'm quite satisfied with the YouTube speed.

I'm using Umobile Hero P80 as the home MIFI. Yes. I don't have and don't intend to install fibre Internet for my own house. Seeing my Umobile bill alone, an average we clock around 30-40gb, I frequently check Umobile app for the data usage.
Half of that is for YouTube.

My budget is around Rm 80 per month. Cheaper would be appreciated since I am looking at various plans.

U Mobile P79 plan has Video-Onz, where all video streaming usage will cap at 1.5Mbps, sufficient for 480p streaming only.

You can consider the Digi postpaid RM80/month plan here: https://beta.digi.com.my/shop/postpaid-plans#jomstart
But you can only rollover maximum 2GB for this Digi postpaid 80 plan.

If you want to reduce budget, you can consider Digi prepaid biGBonus plans, RM50/month or RM70/month.
https://beta.digi.com.my/shop/prepaid-plans...addons/bigbonus
You can try the RM50 plan first. If you feel like not enough or quota finishes quickly, you can upgrade to RM70 plan anytime you want.
Tip: Now Digi prepaid data plans can bring forward/rollover unused data like XOX Black.
But condition is, you must make sure you have enough credit balance before the auto-renewal take place.
If auto renewal fails due to insufficient credit balance, no rollover for you for that month. No second chance, no dispute.

XOX isn't that "fierce" like Digi prepaid do, but for XOX Black, if you overdue your bill, your line will be suspended, but the 1GB+20 min from B10 will still given to you in the subsequent months, but you can't use it at all until you pay your bill. That's the difference.

Same for both Digi prepaid and XOX Black, you can carry forward and accumulate all unused data until 100GB cap.

https://beta.digi.com.my/shop/prepaid-plans...addons/bigbonus

Hi Josh,
Yeah I am aware of my P79 has a streaming cap at 1.5MBPs, but imagine my Youtube have buffering sometimes even at 144P. I usually watch at 360P, but now I have to survive on 240P. Its my area which Umobile doesnt excel.
And there was one night I got so upset, I tried my wife's Digi, subscribe to Unlimited Video Freedom Lite. It was day and night differences.
The streaming was much much better in DIGI.
So definitely I will put DIGI into consideration, only thing is either Digi Broadband (yes, Broadband) or Postpaid 80 (which they have promo at the DIGI store now) . Well prepaid can be considered, only comes to the reloading part will be abit of a hassle. Abit biggrin.gif

Okay I'm sorry but we seem to be chatting alot about DIGI and Umobile in a OneXOX Black thread laugh.gif laugh.gif
Hopefully we don't irritate others . nod.gif

Coming back to my experience with OneXOX Black, so far its been running fine, except that if happen there is no 4G signal for a moment and fallback to 3G , data wont run. And that's whats happening inside my parent's home. But of course they still have the UNIFI , which the phone will switch between WIFI and Data. I still believe in Celcom's coverage and nothing is 100% perfect.
My Mom is using a Xiaomi phone, and it only has 2G, Preffered 3G or Preferred 4G. Its left on 4G option.
its been Day 2, and so far my mom hasn't come and complain . Probably don't realize either. *shhhh* whistling.gif laugh.gif

Seems like 3G coverage inside your parent's home isn't going well. You can call XOX customer service and let them know the 3G issue you currently faced, at least they can try to do something about it.

As for Digi prepaid, for my case, I'm currently on Digi prepaid RM30 plan, and my method is I top up RM100 one lump sum so that I don't need to bother about the payment or whatsoever for the next 3 months. tongue.gif
Until there's insufficient credit balance to auto-renew the plan, then I topup RM100 again.
Plus, I can get extra RM10 free credit (lasts for 2 days only) upon RM100 reload on MyDigi app or online portal (part of Digi prepaid's on-going promo offer).
PIN reload that you can buy from convenient stores like those 7-Eleven or KK, are not eligible for free credit.

To me prepaid is cheaper and I get more GBs compared to Digi postpaid plans.

If Broadband packages suits your data usage, then you may go ahead with that.

After I created the new XOX ID, can I change the email address again for my XOX Black mobile number? (E.g. change to new email address)

It's quite straightforward. Split the supp line to become main line and then port both to black 39 ... After mnp completed, link the 2nd line as subline to the first line in SelfCare.

But the question is, does onexox produce the mainline and subline under one bill? Some people may look for this feature for claim purpose

Change your subline to CHEAPEST main line (rm45 iinm), then port out. But rm38 and rm45 celcom can purchase unlimited fb/insta for rm5 so think about it

Hello there,

For onexox prepaid, there is no pay-per-use, so for internet access, you must choose either daily, weekly or monthly subscription plans. You can subscribe using existing credits in your account or by using season pass. Any data balance is forfeited upon plan expiry.

For onexox black, the minimum is the B10 plan monthly bill (RM10 + 6% sst). You will get 1GB data + 20 minutes talktime. Just turn on data to get internet access. Any data and minute balances are carried forward to the next month.

Thank you.

If you cancel it, then for sure any unused usage like data, minutes and SMS, all will be forfeited.

Even if you're not using XOX Black next month but if you still pay RM10 as usual, your 1GB data and 20 mins will still bring forward to following month, plus with another month.

Example you get 1GB+20 min for B10 plan on Nov and you're not using it at all, on December however, you'll get a total of 2GB+40min which has brought forward from November. As long your account is there, it'll always bring forward, but you're still committed to pay RM10 every month for B10 plan.

Hello there,

For onexox black, data carry forward allowed is only up to 100GB but there is no limit to minutes or sms.

For onexox prepaid, there is no limit to the season pass balance you can keep.

Thank you.

As per my understanding, you can share SEASON PASS between XOX Prepaid and XOX Black. Your XOX Black monthly data quota (plus brought forward) is not under SEASON PASS. Thus you cannot share your XOX Black monthly quota with XOX Prepaid.

You can only share the SEASON PASS that you bought.

1. is the data and sms will be carry forward or will be forfeited?
2. How about the talk time? is it will start count from 50 min?

I am thinking to port over my number.

i have an issue, really need help urgently.

i recently relocated to SG and before i left from Malaysia, i ported my telco from Maxis postpaid to XOX prepaid with 2 yrs validity.

In SG, i was able to receive sms, so i thought that everything was ok. I can receive all bank TACs.

but my phone cannot receive calls. So i call up xox customer service and understand that my roaming is not active yet. but can an inactive roaming receives sms? i have been receiving smses.

so i got it activated, but people from malaysia still unable to make call to me. what else i can do?

it will be sufficient if i can receive calls, but i do not need to pick it up

Hmmm .....

Nope. that SPFAT10 is for prepaid only ..... for onexox black, you can buy happy hour season pass (ex: 13GB+100min+100sms) or daily season pass (ex: 10GB@RM50) ...

Hmmm .....

It really depends on what you need ... prepaid have long validity + season pass to save a bit ... black have unlimited calls and data carry forward ... there's the 100GB data buffet + unlimited calls for RM89 monthly or the basic 1GB+20minutes for RM10 monthly ....

For meself, I stick to prepaid for the long validity ...

Hmmm .....

Nope. that SPFAT10 is for prepaid only ..... for onexox black, you can buy happy hour season pass (ex: 13GB+100min+100sms) or daily season pass (ex: 10GB@RM50) ...

smile.gif
*
it didn't said not eligible for onexox black, as long as new subscribers should be eligible.

Who is eligible to purchase?
Season Pass Welcome Deals are only available to all NEW SUBSCRIBERS (via MNP or new
activation pack), including new subscribers who had activated their SIM Pack from
1/9/2018.

How many packages does Season Pass Welcome Deals have?
There are FOUR (4) Season Pass Welcome Deal packages available:
a) SP FAT 10GB+10GB = SP FAT10
b) SP FAT 10GB+333mins = SP FAT10M
c) SP FAT 5GB+100mins = SP FAT5M
d) SP FAT 333mins = SP FATVOICE

You tried turn on/off the flight or airplane mode on your phone? Or restarted the phone?
Check the APN settings at Network settings there, maybe?

XOX uses 100% Celcom network.
So the service coverage and quality you get in Celcom, is what you'll get on XOX also.

I also feel the same. My wife is using Celcom and it seems like her 4G is stronger than mine at certain places. Sometimes when i go into a tunnel and come out, very difficult to connect to 4G again. I had to use third party app to force 4G. I thought problem with my phone but when i use Digi simcard, no such issue.

I really hope this are just isolated incidents because nobody in market can beat XOX Black, if you ask me.

There are always "first times" in life.
Tell them the signal bar, and speed test (let them know what's the download/upload speed based on speedtest.net app), since when it happens, and of course the location/address.

If it's inside a house, don't worry, the telco people won't come and knock your door. It's just for their reference and record purposes.

After researching, I found that Black B10 plan is very affordable compared to my current prepaid plan with *yellow* telco. Would like some further details from users: -

- anyone using the B10 plan on an esim? For some reason, only B39 plan and upwards are offered esim. I am using Pixel 3a and want to park my main number on the esim and leave the physical slot vacant for other sims when travelling.

- do Black plans have international roaming? I know they have "XOX Data Roaming" but I only need roaming to receive SMS and missed calls. For data, I can just use the physical sim slot with a better value data roaming package from other local or overseas telcos. I am not sure whether must subscribe to "XOX Data Roaming" for roaming to even work.

- any problem with receiving TACs from banks? Nowadays,TACs are required for many transactions. Even non-bank apps require TACs.

Thanks in advance.

They riding on Celcom infrastructure. If your place coverage Celcom is good, then xox is good.
Using it almost 2 months. So far so good.

Have anyone been to singapore recently? I'm a resident here using XOX and hasn't been able to lock into any network here anymore since early this year. It used to work flawlessly, then become intermittent and now totally can't be used. My line is fully active and works when i go back to JB.

i was on B39 with my data accumulated 96 GB (max carry fwd is 100 GB) so downgraded to B10 in Aug, everything is intact - now at 97 GB. I also confirmed with the ONEXOX staff at their branch.

Hi all. I'm planning to port to onexox (the RM59 44GB plan). However, after reading the comments at playstore about the onexox app, I'm not sure anymore. Basically all the comments bash the app kaw kaw. Ppl say they can't even pay the monthly through the app and what's worse is there's no website as an alternative to the app. Many are saying they have to leave onexox because the app is making it unusable.

Is the app really that bad? Anyone here feels the same?

Hi all. Anyone here knows how to claim the free daily 1gb? I try the app but couldn't find anything about claiming it.

Another one, is there a missed call notification and call waiting for onexox? I came from yoodo, they have no such service.

Hi. How is the voice call quality in the when using One XoX Black? I'm currently on a Digi postpaid plan and the voice calls in the Klang Valley is terrible. So terrible that I don't know where to put my face.

Anyone have any issues with OneXoX Black's voice calls?

Coverage is the same as celcom. Data can carry forward, but by block not all of it so don't go thinking you can carry the whole 44 or 100gb for the B59 & B89 plans. For their other plans, I don't know.

Just in case you haven't got an answer, all plans with unlimited calls cannot share the minutes except for purchased minutes in season pass. If its listed as a balance in the black counter season pass then it can be shared.

The same also applies to DB plans where the data cannot be shared.

Hi guys, I'm new in Malaysia. Been using yoodo since the beginning. XOX looks pretty affordable given that I understood the plans correctly after reading this entire thread. Also, they support esim, so that's a plus for me as I can keep my home country sim activated.

I have planned out for the whole year based on my understanding of the plans. Please kindly tell me if this'll work out as I see it. Thanks in advance!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

So right now, in XOX Black, they have a B54 DATABUFFET, a B39 plan and a B39plus50 plan.

https://pictr.com/images/2022/03/21/BQPmB8.md.png

(Why does it even say 'valid for 30 days' when it can simply be carried on to next month and used until its fully consumed?)

Now let's suppose, I port my current sim to XOX Black and choose the B54 plan. This means I'll have all the listed benefits for 30 days EXCEPT the remaining data and SMS that I'll carry on to next month.

For the second month, I change to B39plus50 plan. Now, I'll have last month's remaining data + last month's remaining sms + new 25 GB + new Calls Unlimited + new 200 SMS.

For the third month, I change to B39 plan. Now, I'll have all remaining data from past 2 months + all remaining SMS from past 2 months + new 200 Mins + new 50 SMS.

IN TOTAL, for the price I pay, I'll have 81 GB Data (48+25+8) + 200 Minutes + 350 SMS (100+200+50). Dividing the total amount by month, gives:

RM177/12 months ===> RM 14.75/per month.

Do you guys think this'll work out or did I mess up somewhere? Also, is there a fee for changing plans or something and is the changing process smooth?

Thanks for your time if you read all this.

Read the FAQ on their website.

I'm pretty sure you fuck up the calculation.

1. Black is a monthly plan. If you only paid for 3 months, then you can only use for 3 months. Why are you dividing by 12 months for costing?

2. You would need to change plan before 30 days cycle end, otherwise you will need to pay both old and new monthly fees. You can check their faq on this.

1. If I can only use for 3 months, what about the carry forward? I can use the remaining data even after the plan expires right?

Or do you mean I MUST pay every month? What if next month I don't need any data as I already have enough remaining from last month?

XOX Black is a postpaid plan with fixed monthly commitment to keep the line active.

XOX prepaid is the one with 28months validity where you can purchase season pass and use them whenever you like.
