To choose between the two is easy:

1. Onexox is prepaid. If you want the long 28 months validity then go for this and use Season Pass to save money. The season pass minutes is to all networks and all season pass balances (data/minutes/sms) does not expire.

2. Onexox black is like postpaid (monthly bill + SST). You pay for data, minutes + sms and yet all balances are carried forward.

Recommend to mnp out 2-5 days before your bill cycle. If it goes through then all is fine but is it gets rejected for whatever reason then you could miss the bill cycle (unless you don't care about the billing). Just pay your usual monthly bill amount (can check with OCS) and then find a onexox dealer near you to submit your mnp.

For the OneXOX Prepaid, after 28 months validity is over, can the user extend the validity of RM25 for 1 year, as shown on this XOX Prepaid Plus website?

Since validity can easily be extended on OneXOX prepaid, and you can purchase Season Pass where the data, minutes and SMS won't expire and burn off, then how would XOX or you guys, convince me to choose XOX Black over OneXOX prepaid lol?

Cuz it seems that I can save more money on OneXOX prepaid rather than XOX Black, since I can extend validity easily after 28 mths? The obvious advantage I see on XOX Black is I can pretty much choose not to bother about monthly payment anymore on XOX Black plans (B10, B39, etc.) if I sign up auto debit for XOX Black.

Yes it will remain. It won't be forfeited. You can upgrade/downgrade to any Black plans, anytime you like.
Any new plan changes will only start effect on the next bill cycle.

I just done porting of my mom's Hotlink to this new OneXOX Black . Took the B10 RM 10 plan since she only needs 1GB just to Whatsapp outside the house.
Initially wanted to go for Redone RM 8 plan but quite difficult to locate its dealer so I decided to port into this OneXOX.

Speaking about UMobile, it depends on area, but where I am staying right now in Subang Jaya (only my area where I am staying), the download speed is horrible. Even Youtube 240P can buffer very frequently. But other places is okay. So if you want to Cuba Try Umobile, better try their 1 week trial or buy a prepaid or see if any of your friend are on UMobile.

Im also using TuneTalk for myself. Which is also MVNO under Celcom. In fact so far I am generally satisfied with Celcom. In fact download speed for Celcom where I am staying , is way faster than crappy 4G Umobile, even in just 3G mode (for Celcom).

So for my Umobile port out, still contemplating either port in to YooDoo (since I need lots of Data) or Digi. Or Celcom Gold plan. Maxis? Too expensive.
*

Depending on your mum's usage, XOX Black might be a better choice for your mum compared to redONE because you can carry forward unused data and minutes from the B10 plan, although it's RM2 extra from redONE's RM8 plan.

If you never experience Digi's network for a long time or never try before, perhaps you can consider try it. And how much GBs you need per month? And what's your budget?
If you're not sure, you can check your data usage in your phone. Example: Settings>Data usage OR Settings>Wireless and Internet>Data usage

Yeah. luckily I discovered ONEXOX. for a mere Rm 2 extra is worth it. able to carry forward data plus 20 mins of talk time which I doubt she will hardly use either one - Because home already got Unifi plus free 600 mins talktime from Unifi.
Reason I change is because she is fed up of reloading up just to keep her Hotlink validity active and after a while she stop reloading  ; she don't even subscribe to any data plan just to drain off excess credit and hardly make calls.

So this ONEXOX 1gb plan will be sufficient. She don't even know how to use Youtube (but Fb, yes. one in a while)
First time I told her I will change to ONEXOX she was like "Ha? What company is this ah? I never heard before. Maxis Celcom Digi I got hear before la". Haha.

Okay regarding about myself and Umobile - Yes my wife is using Digi. so I sometimes borrow her phone just to YouTube and I'm quite satisfied with the YouTube speed.

I'm using Umobile Hero P80 as the home MIFI. Yes. I don't have and don't intend to install fibre Internet for my own house. Seeing my Umobile bill alone, an average we clock around 30-40gb, I frequently check Umobile app for the data usage.
Half of that is for YouTube.

My budget is around Rm 80 per month. Cheaper would be appreciated since I am looking at various plans.
*

U Mobile P79 plan has Video-Onz, where all video streaming usage will cap at 1.5Mbps, sufficient for 480p streaming only.

You can consider the Digi postpaid RM80/month plan here: https://beta.digi.com.my/shop/postpaid-plans#jomstart
But you can only rollover maximum 2GB for this Digi postpaid 80 plan.

If you want to reduce budget, you can consider Digi prepaid biGBonus plans, RM50/month or RM70/month.
https://beta.digi.com.my/shop/prepaid-plans...addons/bigbonus
You can try the RM50 plan first. If you feel like not enough or quota finishes quickly, you can upgrade to RM70 plan anytime you want.
Tip: Now Digi prepaid data plans can bring forward/rollover unused data like XOX Black.
But condition is, you must make sure you have enough credit balance before the auto-renewal take place.
If auto renewal fails due to insufficient credit balance, no rollover for you for that month. No second chance, no dispute.

XOX isn't that "fierce" like Digi prepaid do, but for XOX Black, if you overdue your bill, your line will be suspended, but the 1GB+20 min from B10 will still given to you in the subsequent months, but you can't use it at all until you pay your bill. That's the difference.

Same for both Digi prepaid and XOX Black, you can carry forward and accumulate all unused data until 100GB cap.

Hi Josh,
Yeah I am aware of my P79 has a streaming cap at 1.5MBPs, but imagine my Youtube have buffering sometimes even at 144P. I usually watch at 360P, but now I have to survive on 240P. Its my area which Umobile doesnt excel.
And there was one night I got so upset, I tried my wife's Digi, subscribe to Unlimited Video Freedom Lite. It was day and night differences.
The streaming was much much better in DIGI.
So definitely I will put DIGI into consideration, only thing is either Digi Broadband (yes, Broadband) or Postpaid 80 (which they have promo at the DIGI store now) . Well prepaid can be considered, only comes to the reloading part will be abit of a hassle. Abit  biggrin.gif

Okay I'm sorry but we seem to be chatting alot about DIGI and Umobile in a OneXOX Black thread  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
Hopefully we don't irritate others .  nod.gif

Coming back to my experience with OneXOX Black, so far its been running fine, except that if happen there is no 4G signal for a moment and fallback to 3G , data wont run. And that's whats happening inside my parent's home. But of course they still have the UNIFI , which the phone will switch between WIFI and Data. I still believe in Celcom's coverage and nothing is 100% perfect.
My Mom is using a Xiaomi phone, and it only has 2G, Preffered 3G or Preferred 4G. Its left on 4G option.
its been Day 2, and so far my mom hasn't come and complain . Probably don't realize either. *shhhh*  whistling.gif  laugh.gif
*

Seems like 3G coverage inside your parent's home isn't going well. You can call XOX customer service and let them know the 3G issue you currently faced, at least they can try to do something about it.

As for Digi prepaid, for my case, I'm currently on Digi prepaid RM30 plan, and my method is I top up RM100 one lump sum so that I don't need to bother about the payment or whatsoever for the next 3 months. tongue.gif
Until there's insufficient credit balance to auto-renew the plan, then I topup RM100 again.
Plus, I can get extra RM10 free credit (lasts for 2 days only) upon RM100 reload on MyDigi app or online portal (part of Digi prepaid's on-going promo offer).
PIN reload that you can buy from convenient stores like those 7-Eleven or KK, are not eligible for free credit.

To me prepaid is cheaper and I get more GBs compared to Digi postpaid plans.

If Broadband packages suits your data usage, then you may go ahead with that.

Nice app. Much sleeker than the old one.
Yes, new ID needed. And all numbers registered to you will appear in the app, Black and prepaid.
*

After I created the new XOX ID, can I change the email address again for my XOX Black mobile number? (E.g. change to new email address)

Hi Oppa.
Thanks.
If im not in Malaysia next month, so I want to cancel B10 next month, my data will be forfeited?
*

If you cancel it, then for sure any unused usage like data, minutes and SMS, all will be forfeited.

Even if you're not using XOX Black next month but if you still pay RM10 as usual, your 1GB data and 20 mins will still bring forward to following month, plus with another month.

Example you get 1GB+20 min for B10 plan on Nov and you're not using it at all, on December however, you'll get a total of 2GB+40min which has brought forward from November. As long your account is there, it'll always bring forward, but you're still committed to pay RM10 every month for B10 plan.

Hi everybody i am thinking to change my webe(Unifi Mobile) to xox mobile , may i know the prepaid or postpaid user feedback before i into xox

I am a heavy user and coverage is very important as i am a salesman moving around smile.gif thanks
*

XOX uses 100% Celcom network.
So the service coverage and quality you get in Celcom, is what you'll get on XOX also.

YES for 2G 3G.
4G not 100% same as celcom. Some place celcom sim card got 4G but celcom mvno no 4G
*
QUOTE(darkcurves @ Jan 8 2020, 03:46 PM)
I also feel the same. My wife is using Celcom and it seems like her 4G is stronger than mine at certain places. Sometimes when i go into a tunnel and come out, very difficult to connect to 4G again. I had to use third party app to force 4G.  I thought problem with my phone but when i use Digi simcard, no such issue.

I really hope this are just isolated incidents because nobody in market can beat XOX Black, if you ask me.
*

What's the location? Have you lodge a complaint to XOX about this?

Haha, never in my life have i complain about coverage to telco. I guess have to start doing.
*

There are always "first times" in life.
Tell them the signal bar, and speed test (let them know what's the download/upload speed based on speedtest.net app), since when it happens, and of course the location/address.

If it's inside a house, don't worry, the telco people won't come and knock your door. It's just for their reference and record purposes.

is anyone getting speed cap? On B89DB plan.

i realize max i'm getting is around 10Mbps. At first i still can get 30-50Mbps, speed is getting lower each days. Same area.
*

It could be network congestion....?
Try go other places and see if the speed still remain at 10Mbps
