From what I read from various sources, the users says, next time they want to take your laptop away, give them whatever excuse to make them fix the stuff at your home. I mean, that's what on-site warranty is for right. Just don't let them take it, and it would be fine next time.but the sad part is..my system need to be taken back to the service center & to be force open due to a spoiled screw done by the previous technician..it took 1week i'll complain & try to claim for new sticker.. Don't only claim for new sticker, get a a palmrest etc etc, the warranty is there for you to abuse it. |

Well, any specs on this new XPS? I'm betting half a leg it's the long awaited 15 inch XPS... Which, if they could stuff a 8600GT inside of it (AND if they decide to sell it in Msia) would make me cry buckets... But a M1210 rehash with a 8400 (or a 8600GS EDIT: You sure its a new XPS Lappy and not just the XPS 720 H2C Desktop that Dell's already gonna launch stateside? It would be sweet if they'd launch that ultra desktop here, but it's huge and hugely expensive anyway... Added on May 26, 2007, 12:26 amHey, any of you catch what company those "crappy" on site people came from? The outsourced company I mean... well, i guess most of the technicians dont really know all the systems. there are like so many types of model of laptops and they dun have like specific team to deal with certain models.....
everytime they open, they seem uncertain of the stuff. some are juz like trial and error.... some always forget to remove certain screws and then try pulling it out hard then oni realise..... =.=''..... |

Nope, warranty won't be affected if you use new RAM modules... But the ori warranty wont cover your new RAM... Just the old ones... The 2nd RAM slot's a little bit hard to get to, though... As it's under the keyboard... Gotta unscrew and remove the KB first, instructions provided in the XPS manual... This post has been edited by Eiraku: May 26 2007, 02:06 AM |

this will be the last chance for my system or for this service tag number(bad luck with this service tag, maybe im the only guy who encounter so much problem, even more then dingding,he has got himself a replacement unit)..lol..any problem occur again i'll ask for a replacement unit with my old toshiba, keyboard & lcd shift over to the new system.. |
