Hi, Anyone taken a flight route like this? Your opinion, how risky it will be? As the stopover is below 3 hours, any delay will jeopardized my connecting flight. Any advise will be appreciated. Tq

Since if its the same airline you should be fine as you dont need to check out/in. Furthermore 2 hours is more than enough. I have done numerous connecting flights (though not with VN) that are about an hour apart. Normally if there is a slight delay, there will be staff waiting for you at the gate to rush you to the connecting flight. However if you are really one of the unlucky ones, better check with VN what's next.

Hi sacwoc, thank you for the advised, will check-out other airline as well.

Don't have to worry. It's just a short transit via the same Airline. So even if your arrival to Hanoi is late, the flight to Osaka will wait (unless delayed by too long).

And yes, like sacwoc mentioned - you don't have to check in/ out from the immigration. I believe VN will require you to stopover at the Transit Counter to check-in after you've arrived in Hanoi.

Hi sweet_pez, thank you, very much appreciated!

price cheaper compare to airasia?

RM3197 for 2 adults + 1 kid. The cheapest among all the full service airline I had found at the moment (Cheaper than Airasia X). If still want cheaper some more then need to wait for AA promo. I actually like the timing as the flight arriving Osaka next day in the morning so can start shopping and sight-seeing rclxms.gif

Anyone here think it's a good deal?

I took the same VN flight time in Dec 17. The only q needed is through carry-on bag scanner (your shoes too). doh.gif
Do not worry, 2-3 hours manageable. Still have time for burger or a smoke...  icon_idea.gif

My experience reaching Osaka at 6.40am. Need to wait HIS counter open at 8:30am for sim card or ticket collection ordered from Klook.
Took a bus (200yen) to Rinku premium outlet, snack shop at Supercenter Trial to kill time before 3pm Airbnb check-in. Feels sleepy since night flight.

Hi artman, thank you for sharing your experience, will further PM you if anything that came out on my mind.

SIC Zao Onsen Skiing Video (only concentrating on the skiing)

July/August is hot and humid, not very pleasant months to travel BUT there are quite a few summer festivals (and also summer is peach season, and Japanese peaches = LOVE).
September a bit cooler but it's a bit "in between" seasons -- I'd prefer if you can to push to October and go Hokkaido, or November and go Kyoto/Osaka, for the autumn leaves scenery.

Thanks for the reply, but too bad I only can travel on the month stated. Will it rain alot?

if you're going to bring your daughter, please keep her quiet on the plane

Noted. Thank you

I will most probably travel on August school holiday to Tokyo, any suggestion where to stay 6D5N for 2 adult+1 child? If possible walking distance to food/temple and sight seeing, I will skip most of the major attraction for this round. Will not travel far from Tokyo. tq

Hi, I already got 2 flight tickets to Tokyo this August with Japan Airlines, but now I and my wife decide to bring our 2 year old daughter along. Called up Japan Airlines and they said I got 2 option, one is buy the child ticket from them by the phone, means that I have to provide my CC detail and another option is go all the way to KLIA Japan Airline counter. Anyone of you experience this before? need your advise and oppinion. Thank you

if it’s already stated clearly then it’s free

take a screenshot just in case for proof

OK thank you, got confuse when wanna book thru exp*dia, I key in 2 adults and 1 children, result shows exceed max guest no room available, but if key in 2 adults only then room available. policy stated children below 5 stay for free. Is that mean I only need to key in 2 adult?

children also got >5 years old mah

My daughter is only 2yo.

It's Apa Hotel Kaminarimon

I think there some error in the system for double room.

key in 2 adults - Room available

key in 2 adults + 1 children 2yo - Room exceed max guest, means no room available

but Policy stated children below 5 stay for free

it's basic fare + supplement fee of 410yen. so total fare is about 1400yen compare to 2200yen for Skyliner Limited Express
*
the fare 1400yen effective from what time to what time?

How about Taking Access Express Direct from Asakusa station to Narita airport without need to transfer. It cost only 1290yen and take around 1 hour to airport. Anyone taken this ride before? mind to share...

I got 2 luggage, a stroller and a 2yo kid, so changing station up and down the staircase can be a hassle.

Which train is more effective?
