Just got my iX yesterday! Had my friend collected and applied screen protector from Apple Store SG using the Belkin machine. I purchased the Apple Leather case too, awesome so far!

I previously bought a Caudabe Lucid Clear case, it is beautiful but I don't quite like the "sticky" texture behind.

benchmark really eye opening. i was surprise that certain benchmark, ip8 score higher than ipX. performance not really the key decision factor. hahaha
*
For me benchmarks are not important as I don’t do heavy duty stuffs on my phone with high resolution graphics or so. As long as it doesn’t lag on a day to day basis, it’s fine smile.gif

Actually iphone X without button is nicer than the button on other iphones. I get used to it on just a single day. The only I miss is the finger print which alot faster.
*
You have got that right. Now you have to look into your phone and wait for it to unlock which actually takes abit of time to unlock. Fingerprint is way faster and more convinient because you have already unlock when you hold your phone and at the same time place your thumb on the thumbprint sensor. I hope Apple gets this right during the next update.

hi, asking some question
i'm currently using 6plus 64GB and phone memory still remain 20Gb++
so if i buy iphone X 64gb, should be good enough for me, right?
*
Looking at it should be enough but is it futureproof enough is another question.

I agree that Touch ID could be quicker. I can press the home button while I am pulling out the phone from my pocket and by the time I look at the screen, it is already unlocked.

However, I read some reviews (I yet to get mine, delivery in end Nov) that there is a quicker way (might not as quick as Touch ID though) where you do not wait for the padlock to show unlock before swiping up to unlock the phone. You can straight swipe up once u pull it out from you pocket and and have the phone in front of your face (with eyes open of coz..). Not sure not to describe that in words, but basically what you do is once u have you phone out and you at looking at it...just swipe up. Don't wait for the padlock to show unlock. Then the Face ID unlock and screen unlock will be like working simultaneously. That should make it slight quicker and maybe comparable with Touch ID?

Anyone got the phone can give it a try and see if this make ti slightly quicker to unlock? Of coz, it might still not as quick as Touch ID... icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes when you swipe up before padlock shows unlocked, the phone is already ready to unlock upon authenticating your face and will take you to the home screen right away.

Face ID doesn’t really rely on the looks, it is mapping out the face to analyse. Contact lens shouldn’t be an issue, spectacles/sunglasses will depend on the type of the lens whether the infrared can penetrate through.

Yes it works but no matter what you have to have your face facing the phone first. Im still used to my previous 7+ fingerprint recognition which I still think is a notch faster than face id because I usually unlock when pulling the phone out of the pocket or even with the phone lying on my office desk. With the X I have to pick up the phone everytime to unlock. I also develope a bad habit of having to keep looking at the lock/unlock sign to activate before I start using the phone. Maybe I still havent got the hang of it but I still do think finger print is faster.

I believe spectacles generally have no issues. Sunglasses will be the one that really depends due to certain sunglasses have high IR (infrared) rejection etc.

Cycling sunglasses but with a clear lenses. tongue.gif It will be a hit and miss with dark lenses. So it would be troublesome to unlock if you are on holiday with sunglasses on.

When first activate my face ID, I scan with my spec on.
Later I tried unlock without spec, or with one big sunglass also no problem. I guess as long as your sunglass frame is not blocking 50% of your face should be no problem. Or your glass's lens is super good, can block all the infra red.

i saw some video from youtube
A11 Bionic chips is smart, it will keep learning and
recognize you in differently looks, maybe for this time round may need
passcode to unlock, somehow on the next time unlock, the face id
will know that is you.
