QUOTE(limchee @ Nov 8 2017, 12:27 AM) because my iPhone 6 Plus is dying... have issue with the camera and touch IC... very frustrating! eww.. that is quite fast for a phone to be dying. btw, in your view.. is the size slightly smaller then your previous plus phone? will you be annoyed by the top cut off panel?oh well, the price isn't much different to Malaysian pricing... still ok... hehe.. just that I don't get to get telco subsidy pricing... |

QUOTE(Dio Escobar @ Nov 8 2017, 12:30 AM) i have a question, during ipx launch day in malaysia can i just walk in to lets say machines store around 10am when they open to buy the ipx case only? will they let me enter to buy the case only since there will be a lot of people queuing for the iphone x itself? it won't affect though.. there is line for queue... they still need to do business. of cause they allowed customers to go in their shop to purchase other stuffs.. |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 8 2017, 11:32 AM) Its a much smaller phone compared to the 7+. Most important, the bezels are way way way smaller than the ones on the 7+ which makes the phone look sleek and modern like all flagships should look like. It would definately fit a girl's smaller palms unlike the 7+ which is wide. Even the Note 8 which is a bit taller is easier to hold and grip compared to the 7+ because it is not so "wide". You will immediately feel the lack of the home button during initial use but you will be able to live without it after a day or two usage. The top panel 'cut off' is a bit 'weird' but you will get used to having a section of your app/game missing or blackened out. All in all, it is a must buy for all Apple fans like yourself. Oh yeah, the 7+ looks like a slab of brick compared to the X. thanks for your reviews.. at least i have a rough idea on this phone.. actually i'm quite bothered by the top panel "cut off".. perhaps i'm ocd.. i feel one kind. all the while iphone got a slightly gap between top and the screen and where one can slide so i wonder wouldn't it be affected if the top panel like this? unless one slide from the side.. or perhaps from X onwards, there are no slide from top already? btw, is screen totally till the end of the bezel without certain gap? |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 8 2017, 12:14 PM) You are annyoseo Samsung fan... or rather gadget fan like all of us here la. no.. i'm not any fans.. i'm gadget fan Of course there would be a slight gap between the bezels. For the swipe features, you still can swipe from bottom or center or even top depending on what feature you need. For example, to see notifications you just need to swipe from the top like you do on your current iphone. To open Control Center, you need to swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen. There is a bit of changes but you will get the hang of it after a day or two. great... thanks for your valuable feedback.. |

QUOTE(OKLY @ Nov 9 2017, 12:27 PM) Yes when you swipe up before padlock shows unlocked, the phone is already ready to unlock upon authenticating your face and will take you to the home screen right away. i'm curious when the person is wearing a specs but then sometimes he/she wear cons. will it affect? can it register 2 face recognition? |

QUOTE(OKLY @ Nov 9 2017, 12:45 PM) Face ID doesn’t really rely on the looks, it is mapping out the face to analyse. Contact lens shouldn’t be an issue, spectacles/sunglasses will depend on the type of the lens whether the infrared can penetrate through. thanks for your feedback. then i gonna think twice on this cz i will wear specs |

QUOTE(OKLY @ Nov 9 2017, 01:01 PM) I believe spectacles generally have no issues. Sunglasses will be the one that really depends due to certain sunglasses have high IR (infrared) rejection etc. QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 9 2017, 01:05 PM) Cycling sunglasses but with a clear lenses. QUOTE(buffa @ Nov 9 2017, 01:06 PM) When first activate my face ID, I scan with my spec on. thanks guys. that clear my doubts. my main concern is specs as i seldom wear sunglasses so not a big issue.. Later I tried unlock without spec, or with one big sunglass also no problem. I guess as long as your sunglass frame is not blocking 50% of your face should be no problem. Or your glass's lens is super good, can block all the infra red. |
