QUOTE(limchee @ Nov 8 2017, 01:43 PM) if maxis out of stock, u still can get from apple online store malaysia Thanks for the suggestion bro. I am thinking to get Maxis set because I will sign up with their Maxis One 128 Plan anyway (long time user of this plan). So, thought if i can get a cheaper phone with their subsidy, since we dont get much subsidy on petrol anymore.... really up to you whether u prefer sg or my set Let see if I can get one during their pre-order. If can get, I will go and cancel my SG set....hehehe... |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 9 2017, 11:28 AM) You have got that right. Now you have to look into your phone and wait for it to unlock which actually takes abit of time to unlock. Fingerprint is way faster and more convinient because you have already unlock when you hold your phone and at the same time place your thumb on the thumbprint sensor. I hope Apple gets this right during the next update. I agree that Touch ID could be quicker. I can press the home button while I am pulling out the phone from my pocket and by the time I look at the screen, it is already unlocked.Looking at it should be enough but is it futureproof enough is another question. However, I read some reviews (I yet to get mine, delivery in end Nov) that there is a quicker way (might not as quick as Touch ID though) where you do not wait for the padlock to show unlock before swiping up to unlock the phone. You can straight swipe up once u pull it out from you pocket and and have the phone in front of your face (with eyes open of coz..). Not sure not to describe that in words, but basically what you do is once u have you phone out and you at looking at it...just swipe up. Don't wait for the padlock to show unlock. Then the Face ID unlock and screen unlock will be like working simultaneously. That should make it slight quicker and maybe comparable with Touch ID? Anyone got the phone can give it a try and see if this make ti slightly quicker to unlock? Of coz, it might still not as quick as Touch ID... |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 9 2017, 12:49 PM) Yes it works but no matter what you have to have your face facing the phone first. Im still used to my previous 7+ fingerprint recognition which I still think is a notch faster than face id because I usually unlock when pulling the phone out of the pocket or even with the phone lying on my office desk. With the X I have to pick up the phone everytime to unlock. I also develope a bad habit of having to keep looking at the lock/unlock sign to activate before I start using the phone. Maybe I still havent got the hang of it but I still do think finger print is faster. Yes...unlock with fingers while the phone is lying on desk is super convenient...and I do it everyday. I think I am going to deeply miss that feature when I got my X. Hopefully some software upgrade can make the phone recognize you while lying down...u know...like what the Apple advertisement shows when a sexy lady unlock it with the phone on the pool side? |

I am using Hoda full cover on my iPhone 7+ and without any SP on my iPhone 6 (daring huh
Not sure if 7+ and 6 using the same glass (most likely no). But what I am trying to say is that...the Hoda SP is much smoother than my 6 original screen. Even the finger print and smudge resistant are also much better...surprisingly... I think i will probably get the Hoda again when my X is here...still can't wait for it to reach my hand.... QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Nov 10 2017, 10:55 AM) Didn't bother going for the full coverage SP. Read most of the reviews on Amazon on all the full coverage types and many complains on the fitting not perfectly align. As I am quite OCD, i'd rather get a display coverage than a small miss-alignment especially at the small holes cut out in the notches. In fact that is my worry also. Will the slight missed alignment affect the front camera view and causing more failure in Face ID?You know, a slight miss alignment will affect the camera viewing angel a lot in relative to the distance This post has been edited by PHI_1.618: Nov 10 2017, 10:59 AM |

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Nov 10 2017, 11:10 AM) I rather have the full coverage area made of clear glass instead of the borders having the black strip. I'd pay more for that You don't have to pay more brother. The all clear glass is in fact cheaper with those with black strips. And I think the coverage is pretty much the same....both 2.5D. RM85 vs RM69.I think I will go with the clear one... https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4446186 This post has been edited by PHI_1.618: Nov 10 2017, 11:16 AM |

QUOTE(knwong @ Nov 10 2017, 03:02 PM) I've been using iPhone X for a week. I only have 3 main grudges: Isn’t problem 2 is a great feature that reduce drivers from using the phone?1. When lying down on bed, with half face taking a peek on my phone the Face ID won't work 2. When driving, with 1 thumb I can unlock and take a quick peek on the phone. Now cannot dy, must put up direct to face - very dangerous 3. Put the phone too close to face, the Face ID won't work. Must put it away a bit |

QUOTE(Buyalotforgaming @ Nov 21 2017, 12:28 AM) I'm actually looking for those very slim ones that fit the phone very snug. But yeah this one looks rock solid haha If you are not so worry of dropping it (although I think it still gives some protection)...try this...I bought this and it is really slim and material provides some kind of grip, so not so easy to slip from your hands. I yet to get my phone, so can't give u any real life exp yet.https://www.spigen.com/collections/iphone-x...ant=37407088961 |

Which iphone did you guys upgrade from? The Normal or the +? For those who previously was on the Plus, do you feel the screen of the X is a bit smaller than the plus? I upgraded from from the old 6 and i have a 7 Plus (company phone). You don't need to compare it from 6. It is damn worth upgrading from 6. If u compare 7 plus with X, the X screen is bigger but the "picture" is smaller due to the odd resolution. If u really like the big screen like 7 Plus...get the 8 Plus. |
