Not as flexible, unless u have incremental balance. 1.75% is on increased amount?
*
Ya, tats why need to alternate btw accounts.
E.g. sept left rm1 as balance in hsbc acc
Oct put 100k into hsbc acc, then can get 1.75% on rm99999 lol

HSBC amanah perks@work promotion is back until july 2021
3.25% max with criteria below
1) 1.75% for incremental balance
2) 0.75% for paying 3 bill
3) 0.75% for spending 1k using hsbc amanh credit /debit card.

Quite a good deal when alternate with RHB / Std chart.

For RHB Smart account, is it compulsory must take their debit card?

If I’ve credit card, can I choose not to take the debit card? (to save RM8 annual fee)

u may consider signing up the joy@work to have the rm8 waived with conditions. for my case the conditions will be met as long as the deposit and spending conditions for the smart account are met. there's no extra charges for this joy@work benefit. pls check with the bank officer to find out more.

anyone use RHB online to pay TNB bill? May I know how long it took to update the payment to myTNB account?

I use Bill Pay > Open Payment... in the same day, i pay another TNB acc using Jompay, Jompay payment reflected in myTNB, but, the Bill Pay under Open Payment still yet to update in myTNB account. Wonder how long RHB take to process the payment...

I've been transferring 100k every first of the month, then transferring out 99,995 just before the end of every month to SCB PSA / RHB Smart / OCBC 360 since the programme launched a couple of years ago. Used to be 5% before this whole covid thing.

Just be prepared to get a few calls from HSBC from time to time. I've always been honest and said - "because you put the condition incremental balance... if you give me same interest on the balance I will lock in 100k forever".

It doesn't normally take that long. Usually a month and I've never had problems with interest calculation...always accurate.

Yes it's a relatively low requirement for Premier. Im sure it's their KPI to sign people up for Premier as I was rejected by 2 HSBC branches when I tried to open a Basic account (on the basis that can't just open an account without a real purpose) but when I complained to the GM of my home branch he was hard selling Premier. Makes no sense since I don't use any of their facilities.

No need minimum assets under management etc. I literally only use it for 100k in and out every month, no other products with them and never talk to my RM.

So you attain HSBC Premier membership by meeting this requirement?

Best High Interest Savings Accounts In Malaysia (October 2020)

(Last update: 9 October 2020)

It’s no secret that all of us would love for our savings to earn more money over time. Fixed deposits aren’t as liquid as savings accounts in the event you need immediate cash, but savings accounts basically give no interest these days… right?

As it turns out, there are several savings accounts in Malaysia that offer high interest rates – some with over 5% p.a.! Of course, there are certain conditions that need to be met to “unlock” the high interest, but there are also some savings accounts that easily offer more than 10 times the interest of a basic savings account.
