the app will not allow any casting/mirroring to tv from mobile device.

yes, smooth, enjoy.

BUT... no guarantee during high traffic matches... like eurocup 2020.

during worldcup 2018, the streams kept dropping from HD to SD... likely too many users, they sold too many passes.

No point, the only mod is to remove root checking. Hisense ATV is definitely unrooted.

Mibox s has no access to root. To edit build.prop you need to have root.

actually mine has or i think it does before. I converted a china rom mibox into global rom following some steps online, but unfortunately the guide is no longer there.

If you have root, use ES file explorer. Click the menu ( top left hand bars ), scroll down to make sure 'root explorer' is checked. Then go browse /system/, edit 'build.prop' :-

For faking a Sony Android TV HD

thanks will double check again on my root status. I scared the updates may have removed them.

This could likely mean there are two different modded APK. Your vs Linglang.my since the signatures are different.
The one I have is : MD5 hash of 4str0GoMod4.apk:
5a44aa0dcdcbd55892a756be538cfa4e

Confession, I don't know how to mod stuff. Need experts like @puchongite to dwell into low level code to block these checks.

Root checking is one measure, but I suspect there should be some kind of handshake between 4str0 streaming service to their client (mobile app).
Having say that, there could be on schedule basis, 4str0 changes the key and updates the mobile app. Rendering all older version with stale keys.
Maybe @puchongite can verify this claim or could be just conspiracy.
However, service providers like linglang, will just have to keep up with 4str0 interval updates.

Disclaimer. I only tried that apk on the A95X max with the root switch toggled off (means software unrooted) and that worked for me.

Another confession. I ordered the 2GB/16GB variant on 5hopee, but linglang send me 4GB/32GB instead.

The linglang one is modded v2.193.2 and the other one is modded apk based on v2.193.4.
A lower modded version is always/usually not possible to install on top of a higher version.

nobody is sure about the details of what they have done! biggrin.gif

it's good there are modded ones that can work on some boxes.

but those boxes that can work with official ones will be easier for new users.

Mod5 apk still works. Mod4 apk not tested but should be no problem too.
