Astrogo and Unifi Playtv are quite fussy - work with some devices, but don't work with others - using official or modified APK.
As the authorities clampdown on the ahem providers, i wud think these 2 apps will become more popular, more people want to use them.

Afaik, if astrogo works on a certain box, unifi playtv will also work.
There are hundreds of android boxes... which one(s) will work?

There must be other low cost boxes that can do - beelink, mecool, mxq, X96, H96, A95X..??
So many of them, not even sure i got the names right.
Anyone who knows more boxes, please add for the benefit of others as the info is outdated in other threads.

Hi.. i have the same problem too with my android box.. i can login to aotg but keep buffering when play. No picture appear .

What should i do?

I'm using Q+ H6 9.0 Android box.

You are not not technical enough, you best hope is to search web sites such as freaktab or 4pda.ru, where people have tried the exact model as yours.

Or else just buy a new box which people tested and proven to work. Less than rm200 for a box, not worth the time to do the research yourself unless your personal interest.

Can suggest which box that works with aotg?

I'm sorry... You fell for the advertising. Want AOTG working with minimal to no fuss? Best to buy another box asap.. One that has been verified that works. This Q+ appears to be some dunno what generic box..

your Q+ H6 is from a new box manufacturer, first model... uses allwinner H6 chipset.
whatever the reason u bought this, u should (next time) READ up before u simply buy.
becos more established brands typically do a better job with firmware and support.
but take note not all expensive boxes may be able to do what u r looking for - u gotta read, ask, confirm.

not all is lost for yr box, though.
go to settings and see if there is a "superuser" option; if there is, closed the root and reinstall astrogo MODIFIED version.
(where to find this apk, it is posted TWICE in the link given below, u gotta read and find it.)
if there isn't, u may need to try installing an app called SuperSU to close the root before installing.
if that still doesn't work, unlikely u can make it work.

u may be wondering why the hell is it so troublesome to use this app...?
the answer is such providers discourage the use of boxes/tv, encourages only use on mobile device - phones/tablets.
i just got to read that in SG, it is even worse - they have put all blocks to stop users of boxes for their iptv services.

there is a need to read, test and try to be able to use such boxes well for a variety of apps, no shortcut - despite whatever the seller may tell u.
if u want to buy a new box that can do astrogo, u can go back to top of page where i have listed some boxes that can.
worst case, u spend rm88 or rm118 to get a new box that can, no need to spend more.

I didn't see any hint on the item description, nor the item shop pictures to indicate that the unit supports Astro Go. The 'Pre-Install" word is really deceiving. It is just freely available apps that can be found on the internet that streams but with no guarantee of stability or availability.

I spoken with the seller a few times before. Don't think the seller will tell you something that is not the truth.

My only concern with the seller's shop is not so much of their technical knowledge, but the vast amount of models of Android TV boxes on sale in the shop. It gives me an impression they are more to trading any and every new models available in the market. Do not know how much effort they put into researching on the products they sell. Like others mentioned before me, never heard of this brand or this particular model before. Pretty sure Chigz Tech the popular Youtuber have not reviewed this product.

The closest I can see is Eachlink H6 on his chart which is ranked 87 out of 89 on this 2018 chart.

And in 2019 Chart, probably Tx6 using the Allwinnder H6 processor is similar, and it has been mentioned in the the Tx3 thread, that this box with H6 processor comes rooted and requires some method of highly technical unroot

A lot of people 'brick' their boxes during the process of un-rooting, ie their box cannot restart.

This usually happen because when people start the SuperSU program, the program ask for update. And people click the update.

Nevertheless, SuperSU there seems to be an easy way to unroot a tvbox :-

But I have never tried it myself. Don't blame me if it bricks your device.

But if you are technical enough, bricked device also is no big deal, it can be recovered by re-flashing a ROM suitable for your device. Your own knowledge will be the limitation.

Yup.


Because newer version of SuperSU tries to perform a more sophisticated but more powerful way of hidding root, which didn't quite work for Amlogic Boxes. It requires messing with boot sequence, and yet it failed, so it causes your box unable to boot after the upgrade.

Release the hassle to unroot your box :-)

Use Smart IPTV pm for trial :-)

this model can't used AOTG b'coz the box already rooted from original box. before u buy android box, u need read first bout the box. yes, the box used android 9.0 but already rooted.

i just used AOTG on my unifi tv box. u used AOTG the latest version. very smooth and picture clear.

There's no Play Store.. You have to sideload apps onto the box.. Go read the dedicated STB thread for tips on how..
