You are welcome. The MiBox S should be producing good sound and can passthrough some others. If I may ask, why are you interested in installing extra sound mod?

For me for some apk's, example Yupptv (tamil programs) and AOTG the default sound comes from my smart TV not loud as per kodi or Netflix. So I wonder if sound/volume booster apk's can help hmm.gif

I see.. Though I have to say that this is my first time reading such report. Makes me wonder, could it be the TV's speakers instead that's the culprit? You turned it up to max volume and still insufficient? Try checking within the app's settings, if it supports external player. Then set Kodi or VLC as the default.. Try.. I'm unsure, cuz never checked.. AOTG probably won't have such option to play via an external player. And I have no issues about loudness and clarity with current and older boxes, but I'm using a Home Theater via HDMI-ARC la.. So different case.

Maybe, you could look into investing in some external speaker system? Even a cheap decent 2.1 set will sound much better than the average Smart TV's speakers. Unless mid-high level TVs. Even then, I still advise getting dedicated speakers setup.

As far as I can remember in Kodi settings, you can adjust the sound to pre-amplify to various levels.

Compatible SoCs: Tegra X1, Allwinner H6, Realtek RTD1295, Hisilicon Hi3798CV200, Amlogic S912, S905X2, S905Y2, Rockchip RK3288, RK3368, RK3399.
Incompatible SoCs: All the rest where S905X, S905W, RK3328, RK3229 stand out … basically all those that mount Mali-450 GPU.

As per Scissorshand's suggestion.. Yep, latest AML and should be good. BUT remember that PUBG is a "built for Android OS" app and NOT an Android TV OS app. Hence, be wise to restrict your search to only boxes running the regular Android OS for optimum game compatibility. I'd recommend say the latest Mecool KM3..It's going cheaper now and within your budget. However, I believe it's running Android TV OS and high chance it's rooted. So there's that.. Buy at own risk... Again, if I and PUBG is absolute criteria? Stick to boxes powered by regular Android OS & confirmed un-rooted only!

Lastly, the game requires a minimum of 2GB ROM to install.. So make sure there's more than that as that size will grow.. FYI, not a PUBG player..hence, can't give you direct response.
Yes.... And we are back right where we started... Read back comparisons between the 2.. The one that most matches your needs will pop right out. IMO... Minix, as it ticks all the boxes...but your call la... As for AVFAN's list of questions.. They are now "outdated".. Can't discuss illegal iptv stuffs anymore. biggrin.gif

You are correct. Hence my recommendations to him to set as external app player. VLC for Android has the same "amplify/boost volume" feature too. Probably MX Player too..

Hai... You've read so much.. haha.. No need to go back that much... Kudos!!.. Here, easier..
This links to my latest comparison..
Read this too, as it's related..

AFAIK, both devices are the latest and best flagship Android OS devices so far... The Q10 Pro, though as old as my Neo U1, I believe still got a fw update introducing features a couple months back. Both will still have a few FW updates before their respective devs move on to their later devices. However, you also need to consider FW stability over frequency. Minix devs prefer to release rock solid fw and only when stable, so while it may take longer, you know it's quite stable and shouldn't introduce bugs. The guys at Himedia, similarly are at an advanced stable stage too. I'm guessing that their main focus will be on releasing a better specced box, else be left behind from faster manufacturers.

The forum has a "Show posts by this member only" function.. It pulls up posts made by that particular member in the thread alone. That and the search function is the less hassle way.. biggrin.gif

Kindly read page one thoroughly... Do the same with the last 20 or so pages.. Return when you have a better idea of what you are getting into. Will be more help then. or you might just know which to buy already and not need help.

You are asking the same questions.. Questions that have already been answered multiple times. TS did an excellent job. The least you can do is to at least go through it. Of course there are other options. Understand the core first and I guarantee we'll run through the options. Not all same RAM/ROM combo are equal.
