Hello guys , i am looking for a SSD at taobao and found this after going thru reviews about 860 and the price range is acceptable, so i want to settle on a EVO 860 250GB.

my question is this, what option should i choose??? is it the "860 250 台式机" option?? I am installing it in a desktop to use as the OS and main game's drive. My mandarin isnt that good; what are those "guang what zhi jia".

Edit: looking at the price again, i might settle on the 500Gb version. If so, which option do i choose?

guys, I started using this nvme on november 2017 and to date i have like 4TBW, so it's like im writing 500gb per month on my ssd, is this actually normal for an OS drive or am I using more than usual?

not that it really matters since 150tbw means i'd have to keep this up for 25 years though, just curious since I didn't think i'd be doing that much writes.

those are basically options of ssd + different bundles. i think you should be ok with the '860 + 台式机' option.

the tbw consumed really depends on your usage and ssd optimizations done (which also depends on usage and presence of ram cache/disk)

don't worry too much about it as long as you don't do something like torrents

for budget ssds, just pick which one you like most.

i don't think it has specific drawbacks. you can install as many ssds as the system can support.

My bad, yes optane cache. Those test are convincing but I’m not sure about real life situation.

in a nutshell, optane memory caching is similar to the old ssd caching. hence what you have experienced before with ssd cached hdd are basically the same as those cached with optane memory.

in real life scenarios, this type of caching are acceptable for general office use. however, for professional work loads, it's better to use at least traditional ssds imo
