cause in the x299 a friend of mine told me about this.

my 960pro/evo i am just using them now lol as storage for games and another one as os for stresstesting/overclocking OS.

will never use them as daily driver

u will even find this issues on laptops etc.. fallupdate etc etc.. all bsod.

i did a brief search just now. it might be fixed by ms. the good news started at page 4, https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Wind...D-s/td-p/130851

the fix was said to be in w10 1803. it really took a long while.

it looks like the laptop can support 1x 2.5" sata ssd + 1x m.2 nvme/sata ssd. as video rendering might take a lot of space, maybe you should consider 512gb.

brand wise, i suggest you go for brands like samsung, intel, crucial, kingston, or sandisk/wd, at least with 3d-tlc nand.

Thanks for reply...

Btw i will put another normal sata 2.5gb 1tb as storage, just ssd for rendering and os only.

KINGSTON UV500 240GB (M.2 2280 SATA) 3D NAND TLC SSD - RM285
CRUCIAL MX500 250GB M.2 TYPE 2280SS SSD - RM300

Price for SSD per GB dipped down below RM1/GB, but of course don't expect any extreme performance from this SSD, use it for gaming storage still much better than conventional mechanical drives.

oh. not sure about the price also sorry, but it depends on how you wanna do it i guess, e.g. install ssd only; or with os clean install; or with cloning/data migration; etc.

just make a full data backup first before you do this.
