But I suppose that would depend on your area and whether you're on Fibre or VDSL.QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Feb 6 2018, 01:45 PM) No problem lah, just buy something with a step-by-step guide to setup your unifi. Like a Mikrotik RB750Gr3. Guide is in my .sig. This post has been edited by soonwai: Feb 9 2018, 05:04 PM |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Feb 9 2018, 12:33 PM) as said before, u could have when u went 50->100. My case which isthat's what i did, no extra charge. now, if u wanna change, they may charge u 60-50=rm10 more. jumbo has a lot more eng and sports channels. but u will lose all the aneka, varnam, ruby ones from mega. just to share with others... i just got my second bill, all is correct. we can now be all clear about how they bill... for those on +rm10->100mbps. your case: rm299 high speed internet +60 jumbo +30 ruby - 200 discount = 189... +gst. my case: rm299 high speed internet +60 jumbo -180 discount = 179... +gst the final price is all determined by the DISCOUNT applied on the "high speed internet". how they determine, amount... nobody seems to know for sure. 299 (internet) + 60 (jumbo) + 30 (ruby) - RM 210 (discount) = RM 179 + GST Waiting for 2nd mth bill dated on 10th. Last bill have pro rata charges due to upgrade falled after my bill date, I paid around 201 nett last month. Hope coming bill will be going alright. |

Hi all, would need some advise on unifi cable installation. I had unifi wires installed in my walls/ceiling about 6-7 years ago during a major renovation.
I've cancelled the old package and taken a new one. The installers will come tomorrow. Would it be better to put new wires but may be through the normal way/ in the ceiling? Secondly, my old router and modem were kept at the 1st floor at one corner. Due to this, the whole downstairs barely could get any signal. If i were to use 2 routers, would it solve the problem? I don't think i can move the location of the modem/router because the cctv dvr is next to it. |

It might be feasible to get one router, and one AP, that is connected to it, and this AP can be downstairs. But, how big is your houses. I would recommend you get one router that is really good and a high end router which cost more can probably do it. I would recommend the Asus RT-AC1300UHP or if you want something better, you can try the TP Link C3150 v2. Depends on your budget.I've cancelled the old package and taken a new one. So i should connect the router to another router that is downstairs? House is a long double story terrace. What is the price range of the router that i'm looking at? |

Yes, AP means access point. You can connect your main router to another router, that is downstairs, but make sure your router is configured as an AP. Or you can use a powerline, it’s up to you. What is the price range of the router that i'm looking at? Oh bro, if it is just a double story terrace, I would recommend the Asus RT-AC1300UHP. Price is between RM500-RM550, depending on which seller you get it from. See here: https://www.lazada.com.my/catalog/?q=Asus+r....3fb57407dOWQhu |
