JohnLai @ soonwai No offense. I mean my area connecting the IP address from Sarawak/Sabah is really bad.

Morning -->175.141.xxx.xx showing Miri  doh.gif

Evening -->218.208.xxx.xxx showing M'sia, but the sheep is still on the Borneo island.  shakehead.gif

Don't worry, ip geolocation websites are not accurate one. If you have said IP assigned to you, it already means that the IP is in your area and not in Miri. A better way to check is to do a traceroute to see the route that it takes.

Hi..

My unifi package : UniFi Advance 30Mbps + Aneka (MU 2017 Campaign) RM 179.

Anybody else on the same boat?
*
After the RYE2017 RM10 upgrade to Advance 30Mbps+Aneka+JumboPack+Std20, lucky few are paying only RM139 but most paying RM159. U should have gone for the RYE2017 RM10 upgrade to 50Mbps.

In the Station section, connect to your existing wifi.

My IPv6 setting for the DIR-850L is link-local only.

Have you tried to upgrade it to 50mbps with +RM10? try give TM a call at 100.

Here's an example. Results from iplocation.net. Other dbs will give you different results.
175.144.42.92 - Miri
175.144.118.9 - Shah Alam
175.141.100.168 - Shah Alam

Oh, sorry, forgot, ip address changes to 192.168.0.150 or 250 after the DIR-850L switches to repeater mode.

Uncle want to terminate over-contract package and re-subscribe. Still need to go over to TM-point? If relocate the over-contract package to another location, any idea how much for the cabling? Pay to the contractor or billed? thanks.

Anyone here keep getting 175.141.xx.xx? I don't want to connect to Kuching. The ping can hit around 5x-6x ping.
*
Correct me if i'm wrong. From my understanding, when we do speedtest to East Malaysia server, the connection will go through West Malaysia (TM main server) first before it goes back to the speedtest target on East Malaysia, thus results in higher ping compared to when we do speedtest directly to West Malaysia servers.

And regarding the IP ranges and locations, since i upgraded to UniFi, so far i'm getting similar performance unlike what streamyx does. Stable most of the time, avg 27ms ping. I'm from Miri, Sarawak btw.

Just bring the old BTU / Modem will do?
And on the spot receive new ones? Can go back and plug and play immediately or need to wait for tech to come over? I assume nothing else to be done since cabling already there.

Relocation still needs installer to come to do the necessary. You will need to apply it in nearest TM Point and choose the installation date.

Not relocation. Re-subscribe. i.e. terminate existing package and apply new one.
